Georgia pastor to grow cannabis to attract more congregants

The only validation I need is proof of the positive result in the relief of pain. I wouldn't use it for recreation, though tbh, when I was in my teens I DID try it, but didn't continue with it like my friends. It worked for my dad when he was dying of cancer. It's also working for my sister with her symptoms of MS and other health conditions.

The decision to take a drug for the alleviation of pain comes down to what side effects you are willing to tolerate. Every drug has its side effects. Aleshanee made that perfectly clear in her post. It is the patient's responsibility (believers in particular) to make an informed choice and be ready to deal with the outcome. If you have decided that a particular drug is right for you, you don't need anyone's affirmation except God's.

And if you open your eyes and stop trying to make every person a soldier who will experience the same side effects, you'll notice they don't. Not all people who use a drug/substance will experience the same things. Get real.

i had specific people in mind when i wrote my post.... and they do not include or reflect any person on this forum or the members of their famiilies... ... i also said in a previous post that i believe people with terminal conditions and who are disabled or dealing with chronic pain issues that cannot be adressed through conventional meds, should have every right and reason to use cannabis.... their validation exists within their own damaged bodies and the decision to use cannabis or not to use it is between them and their doctors.....(i thought i made that clear in my post.... but perhaps not..)

i also said i didn;t care anymore and was of the mind that cannabis in all of it;s forms should be available for anyone who wants it... and that included recreatonal use as well... .. .(maybe i failed to make that clear enough too).... .. ....but in fact i will go a step further and say i think the government should get completely out of the drug regulation business, and allow anyone to buy and use any kind of drug or substance they want - or which they believe will work for them.... put an inspection and certification system in place to insure the medications and drugs are pure and that their dosage levels and potency are correct..... and leave it at that...... if people wish to see a doctor first and have the doc recommend which drugs to use that is fine... but put the people who think they know better than doctors and everyone else, on their own... ...maybe they really do know better.. who am i say they do not?....... time will tell whether they were right or not... .. let time be both their judge and the instructor for others willing to take notice and learn.... ....

My comments were directed at no one person here. I hope that was clear. I just get tired of the overly pious statements made by people who believe everyone is going to react the same way to things....the truth of the matter is they don't.

I'm observing a common side effect in you already. Any time someone posts information about cannabis that doesn't fit in the user's (or user sympathizer's) narrative, the person is perceived as a threat or "trying to make every person a soldier who will experience the same side effects..." It is a universal trait I've seen amongst users and sympathizers. The narrative is always the same: "that's YOUR experience..."

I share what I have experienced not to lump everyone in my effects category. If you'd take a chill pill (very few side effects) you'll see what I am actually saying. EVERY DRUG HAS SIDE EFFECTS. Believers, in particular, need to be cognizant of the mind altering potential of  ALL narcotics. I don't believe I need to explain why that is.

If you've worked it out with you and the Lord all of the justifications for if, how, when and why to use these drugs, then, nothing anyone can say requires a "Get real" admonition.

As long as someone is using a substance with a doctor’s prescription and doing so in a manner that doesn’t bring harm to others, I don’t care if someone uses cannabis, magic mushrooms, or just plain ol’ Tylenol.

Stop being a "sensitive Karen," AB...I think I've basically said what you've said. I feel NO THREAT from you...and I've not mentioned anyone on these forums. Maybe you should stop being a prevaricator. And the "narrative" as you called it is VERY VALID. Your response is typical of "my experience is the only valid one to be accepted." NOW I've made it clear that I'm calling you out. Don't like it? Ignore it. I would hope you'd be adult enough to accept that other people have opinions that aren't going to reflect your own.

Thank you...Someone with some sense....AT LAST!!! ;) Aleshanee had the right idea...it's up to every individual. And it is....

You've proved my point.

End of discussion.
