Who needs to trust in God when an internet "beg-a-thon" will do the trick ;D

I count 4 IFB's currently seeking online donations for:

-Medical Treatment
-Motorhome Repair
-Adoption
-Church Refurbishment

All are "Full Time" preachers.

So, back this claim up with links to the gofundme site.

The church remod is posted on this forum, Faithway.

The Peterbuilt motor home is the Walkers.

You still must trust God when using Go Fundh me.
You just get your request out to more people faster.

What's wrong with using modern technology to do God's work.

Imagine what they said about that newfangled machine that printed the Vulgate.

Go Fund Me is being over used in my opinion.  I have donated to causes in the past for an immediate and extraordinary  crisis....

However, people are now using Go Fund Me as a "quick money" solution.

All too often, it is the people with the most name recognition using their "popularity" to solicit funds.

Is it bad in all instances...certainly not.  Is it being abused...I believe so.

The same people who refuse to work a "secular" job and will criticize someone's wife for working outside the home have no problem asking the banker's wife for money so they can continue to "do God's work."

When I see 4 people seeking online donations (and that is just this week, I can name many others from the past year or so), it becomes practically nauseating.  Let people know you have need, but stop sticking your hand out.  We preach against those who take government assistance and still have cable and cell phones.  What is the difference between this and they guy on the corner with a sign asking for money?

I posted a thread about this topic a few months ago.

In my opinion, there is something wrong with people who state "My God can supply all my need" and then go begging to utter strangers.

That's right.... we've never been beggars..... and Lazarus was a bad man.......

I have nothing against begging if its a good/righteous cause.

I think GoFundMe charges too much for their service. Its convenient but giving doesn't have to be convenient.

I'm praying about starting a non-profit KJVo funding site that will be low budget. It will be for causes that I deam worthy. If will have very little expenses except for the CEO's salary.

I'm going to call it GO Forth & Fundith Thee.

KJVO huh, are you going to use real KJV1611 Bibles or the modern stripped down version sold as the real thing and used by most who claim to be KJVo?

Chilleth thyself.

Of course, my post was also in in jest.

I know modern KJVOs would not use a real KJV1611.

Few have ever held an authentic reproduction let alone an actual first edition.

What difference does it make? After all, you will only find some spelling and punctuation corrections in over 400 years now from one edition to another! ;)
