As much of a big deal that we thought Jack Hyles was fifty years ago, I believe the truth is that you could stand outside the turnstiles of the stadium and ask one simple question as they walked in -- "Does the name Jack Hyles mean anything to you?" -- and less than a hundred would answer in the affirmative.

Five miles from where he preached each Sunday for over forty years -- much less, the entire country -- no one would know him. As much as we thought it, he was not a big deal, but rather the ultimate big duck in the mud hole.
 
The new HAC "Bear's Ministry" - Attend morning service at FBCH. Immediately head to stadium for tailgating soul winning. Attend game, and head back to FBCH for evening service!

No fan of Jack. John Maxwell has a book of quotes one of the quotes in this book said, don’t use your people to build your ministry use your ministry to build your people. Which is a quote Jack would say.

I asked John Maxwell if he knew Jack Hyles and he said he went to a clinic or maybe Pastor School I forget and he said Jack Hyles taught him how to lead someone to the Lord.

Always thought that was interesting.
