Sure. It’s edible aquatic life. Plus, they can be found in brackish water as well as fresh.

This is similar to a married couple that had been married for 30 years and have three children but get a fake annulment so one of them can get be single and marry someone else. Common sense tells you, an alligator is not a fish, no matter who proclaims it it as such. Maybe I’ll give up alligator for Lent.

I don’t really think they taste that much alike, but they are a little similar. Being from the Charleston area, I ate plenty of Low-country boils, which rarely ever contain crawfish. However, having spent some time in Louisiana, I now add a small handful of crawfish to my boil, but it’s still primarily shrimp. I also will toss in a few stone crab claws. So now, my traditional seafood boil is part South Carolina, part Louisiana, and part Florida.
