How is discussing what goes on on the BaptistBored talking about someone's private life? The contents of a Web forum are pretty much the opposite of private.

From my limited reading of the Confessions, you are not allowed to work on Sunday, which they call the Lord's Sabbath, or some other legalistic name like that.

Looks about right to me.

Those on the outside looking in have no idea about the context that lead to these so-called heavy handed conversations that took place on a completely different message board and presumably under a different screen name.

My time here has been short, but so far I’ve already had to block @DrHuk&Duck for petty personal attacks and for being downright childish. That’s not gossip—you can look at this site’s history over the last 2 days.

Oh, you high and mighty keyboard warrior. These are all public discussions and it has absolutely nothing to do with gossip. Gossip is when you know a person in real life and say disaparaging things behind their back and refuse to talk to them in person. I have said all of these things to JonC publicly and openly on that board. I call you to repent of your false accusation, nad publicly ask for my forgiveness, or hereafter I shall call you a slanderer.

JonC is a moderator. As one who has to enforce the rules, it should be evident that he knows it’s against the rules to question another member’s salvation. I have not seen him do that. I don’t really know what you mean by “boderline accuses you of not being saved”. That seems like a misunderstanding on your part and neither side should not be trying to fan flames to begin with.

That’s my point. I wouldn’t go into someone else house and discuss what was talked about in another person’s house. As I said, nobody else knows the context and shouldn’t be expected to jump over there and dig through months and years of archives to see what you’re talking about.

Give me a break. Here you are talking about another member from on another board behind his back and he isn’t even here to defend himself. I can’t think of anything more cowardly than that.

But he isn’t here on this board, is he? Maybe you should have invited him to join the discussion here first BEFORE you started speaking ill of the man.

No. It is not a misunderstanding. He equates people who hold to Penal Substitutionary Atonement with people who are Mormons. That is exactly what he has done to me. And I openly challenged him on it and he dances around the issue. That board is dying because he is a moderator.
