you are painting with a very broad brush. their are red state public schools and blue state public schools. there are urban and rural. their are upper middle class public schools and poverity schools. You can't paint them with one brush. Some school district have a large % of their staff are Christians. In other places many of the teachers may not be Christians but are very conservitive in their beliefs.

I went to a rural school. My daughter to a suburban upper middle class school. You can confess anything you like, as long as you espouse the doctrines of the Enlightenment, and think and act like an atheist, i.e., religion is an impedance to progress and Darwinistic science is the pillar and ground of the truth.
