How Badly Do We Miss This Guy

At the time, I thought the Clinton's were the most corrupt people who could hold office, but then Obama and Biden administrations came and went.

What I wouldn't give to go back to the nineties.
Me too. Of course Clinton was no saint….

Just keep voting republican. It will get better.

More, perhaps, than I'd care to admit. He ran in 1992 as a centrist and showed while in office that he was a leftist; but compared to the present-day Left, he was (at least back then) fairly moderate.

More so than any of his Democratic successors, anyway, including his wife.

If not for the constant scandals, Clinton wouldn't have been that bad a president.

That said, the latest crop of Democrat candidates for Congress makes even Barack Obama seem nostalgic.

i don;t remember much about clinton... .except that he was president when i joined the family i have been with ever since... and i spent a lot of time at the waimanalo fire station during those years - eating meals at the same mcdonalds he made famous when he was being driven around the island by secret service and ordered them to stop at the mcdonalds to buy chelsea a happy meal.... for years there was a big almost life size photograph on the wall at that mcdonalds of clinton coming through the door... . .

(i also remember stories about a group of native hawaiian activists at makapuu turning around bending over and mooning him as the motorcade went by... but it was before my time here.... i wish i could have seen it... )

but what i remember most about the clinton years and was here to experience - is it was a time when my adopted dad was raising 4 of us as a single parent and working double shifts every day and recall extra shifts on his days off... ...i can;t say whether the clinton economy was good or bad.... but i do know my dad handled it ..... and i know that when dubya got elected things became much worse.. he went from being in danger of working himself to death to working in a way that actually destroyed his health... ... ....

but as far as how i was affected personally i can;t complain too much.... we were living in hawaii and as teenagers of a workaholic single parent had unlimited freedom to roam the island - including haunting waikiki and taking advantage of all it had to offer us .... ..spent a lot of time at different firestations all over the island as taking extra shifts to make ends meet sent my dad to whatever station had an opening - but for me that continued long after the clinton years all the way up to when my dad retired..... and i also know that if he had a choice he would rather have retired with clinton still in the white house on a 6th term rather than obama in the white house at all.....

I’ve heard Clinton described as a good president with bad morals, and Carter described as a bad president with good morals. I wasn’t old enough to vote for either man but this seems pretty accurate.

Clinton balanced the budget. The federal government actually ran surpluses for four consecutive years.
