People down the street have them and they sell us cheap eggs.

The short answer is 0.    The long answer is that we started out with a "gift" of 4 hens and 2 roosters.  An unsolicited "gift".  But explaining that makes the story even longer, so I'll skip it.  Those 6 chickens turned into quite the free-range flock.  We harvested lots of eggs, which we enjoyed.  So different than store-bought eggs!  To make my long story shorter, I'll close with the fact that we had lots and lots of chickens until a bobcat took up residence on our property.  It took a chicken a day until there were none left.  Frankly, we didn't miss the chickens...

But if you want chicken stories, I've got a few.  Speed Racer, The Lost Engagement Ring, That Dang Rooster, 3 for 5 and probably a few more that I've forgotten.
