If I can figure out how to turn this into a poll, I will.  IMO it belongs here, because more people come to this forum than the Bible Version forum.  The Bible Version forum attracts the KJVOs which would skew the poll.

"Use another version most frequently" doesn't mean you never use the KJV.  It just means you tend to use some other version more frequently (I favor the NKJV, myself).

Mostly ESV for me. I'll use the NIV occasionally. If I'm lazy and my 'working' Bible isn't on my nightstand, I'll grab the HCSB on the bookshelf beside the bed. When I'm talking to the KJVo people I know, sometimes I'll use that translation.

I've used the Message from time to time just for a change. I like the Cotton Patch version, and LOLcat Bible is fantastic!

My two main study Bibles are NRSV (New Interpreter's Study Bible) and ESV (ESV Study Bible) respectively. My handy carry Bible is a Cambridge Pitt Minion ESV (in brown goatskin). I have a whole lot of others, but those are the ones I use most often.

Another that I'm particularly fond of is a parallel NASB/Message, which I like because of the compare and contrast value of a very literal translation and a rather insightful paraphrase.

And I like the J.B. Phillips NT because he does a particularly good job with Paul.

Honorable mention also to the NET for outstanding translation notes, and to the LOLCat Bible chiefly for amusement value.

My favorite KJV is an Oxford 1917 Scofield, which I understand is popular with fundamentalists as a main Bible. I just like the look and feel of it, and find Scofield's original notes different, sometimes insightful, sometimes weird, but usually amusing either way.

The church we have been attending lately goes between the NKJV and the NLT.

Love the NLT for listening on my smart phone as I drive. Great way to ingest copious amounts of scripture truth. Very easy to recall the salient points of each section.

First you claim it doesn't exist and now you say its not in Greek. You even use the present tense conjunction "isn't".....

Do you know anything about language? You really shouldn't even comment if you're going to be so silly.
