Any good Baptist churches you're familiar with around the Orlando area (Universal Studios ground zero)?
 
I have an attorney friend who attended FBC Orlando for a number of years before moving. He was always very happy there. I know it’s a very large SBC church. I don’t live in the Orlando area so that’s the best I can do for a recommendation.

Thanks, that church was on the top 3 list, until I realized they don't have an evening service. We are flying Sunday morning and will only be able to go to a pm service. Amazing how many churches no longer do an evening church service. Found a couple in the area that do, and of course they were IFB KJVo. 😁

You’re brave to do theme parks in the middle of the Florida summer. I won’t step foot in any theme parks in Florida unless it’s between Halloween and Easter. It’s just too scorching hot to stand in long lines of sweaty humanity. I do hope you have fun though.

Whenever I hear someone is visiting Florida, I always encourage them to put a couple hours aside to see the “real Florida” and do an airboat ride. It’s pretty inexpensive and you’ll have a blast and be done in an hour or less. Here’s one outfitter on a Lake Kissimmee. I know this lake because I’ve done duck hunting on it a couple times. Yeah, I hear ya. Since the wife is a teacher, we have a hard time going on vacation anywhere outside of the summer months. I can't wait for that to be different, and it may be after this coming year, as she might be able to retire. Until then, the slog goes on, LOL.

As far as the "real Florida", I am sure that we could take in a lot more things than the theme parks. And theme parks aren't even my thing. This is kind of for alayboy. On one of our previous journeys, we did do an airboat ride, we had a blast.

Understood. Theme parks aren’t my thing either. I usually suck it up once a year and try to be a good sport and do a park, but otherwise we’re usually out on a lake or in the Gulf fishing or swimming or something like that. Anyway, hope you enjoy your trip. I don’t see any hurricanes in the forecast, so at least all you have to worry about is heatstroke. 🔥😬

I couldn’t begin to tell you how many people I’ve known from northern states who fulfill their dream of moving to Florida and then leave within a couple years because of the heat, bugs and hurricanes. I’m not exactly sure what they were expecting, but yeah, we’ve got all three. November through April are pretty spectacular, but the rest of the year it’s HOT! Growing up in the Charleston and Savannah region, I didn’t really have to adjust much. The winters there get a few degrees cooler, but pretty much the climate is the same.

I grew up in Michigan so I know what cold and blizzard is I can prepare for a hurricane . I chose Florida bugs, lizards don't bother me its a gators that get my attention. I'll take the heat over cold any day of the week. The traffic isn't fun but if everyone drives right I'm good. I've been here since 1983.
 
Speaking of Orlando...an item on my bucket list is to visit the Haunted Mansion...primarily in LA, since it's the orgininal one, but at Disney World if LA proves too broken down...

I had been there several times before and thought I knew it well enough, but either I am getting soft in my old age, or I had never spent that much percentage of my time outdoors while I was there before. I won't make that mistake again, lol.

I used to live in Mobile...Heat, bugs and hurricanes, what a miserable combination.
 
Try St Andrews Chapel. It is about 30 min from Universal
