For those who insist that they are not Trump apologists (you know who you are), how about you make one critical observation about his presidency that doesn't include some version of "at least he's not Hillary" or "get over it".

His agenda, as stated, with the exception of fair trade and infrastructure, is exactly what true conservatives have wanted to see since Ronald Reagan. I don't know how much of it he believes or how much he will get done but he is saying all the right things. The Stock market is up over nearly $3 trillion in value since Nov 8. Companies are talking of reinvesting in the U.S. on their conference calls and investor Market sentiment is through the roof.

Fortune 500 Companies Hold a Record $2.4 Trillion Offshore, and there are rumblings of some of that being repatriated. The Keystone XL and Dakota Access oil pipelines are now approved, after being stalled for years & Trump has promised to require U.S. made steel on the project. Trump has ended the war on coal and oil workers, which has devastated states like KY & WV. Ford canceled a 2 billion dollar plant in Mexico and all the autos are expanding plants in the U.S. The country is actually talking about securing the border along with true immigration reform. Congress is also developing a plan to replace the rapidly failing Obama care  with a new plan.  We may also see some movement on infrastructure plan which did not happen under Obama.

I think Trump is the least "presidential" president I have seen in my lifetime. He says things off the cuff, tweets too much and does not always have all the facts. He often speaks without having all the details to the story. He often speaks in generalities without the plan to back it up. He is not a politician and that shows. I also think, like JFK and Clinton, he does not have possess the highest moral values for our children to emulate.

That being said, I think our country will be in much better shape 4 years from now.

Wait! I thought this was the party of "family values".

Why are they so intent on breaking apart families? Why aren't they trying efforts to preserve the "traditional family unit"?

Jose Escobar lost his legal status in a paperwork gaffe more than a decade ago when he was still a teen in Houston.

That slip-up, the fault of his mother who thought her child would be automatically included in her own renewal application, has trailed him ever since. Thursday it lead to his surprise deportation to El Salvador, a country he hasn't seen in 16 years.

The government's decision to remove the 31-year-old father, who has no criminal record and is married to an American citizen, is the latest indication that President Donald Trump's administration plans to deport practically any immigrant here illegally, even some like Escobar who were temporarily protected, who happens to fall into its cross hairs.

Immigration agents deport Houston father of two who previously held immigration reprieve

His thin skinned, narcissistic over reaction to any criticism and his petty, vindictive responses to said criticism. That has been going on since he declared his candidacy....because it is who he is....

This, plus shooting off his mouth about nonsense items.  But it appears that he is learning to control himself to some degree.  He needs to learn that silence is golden (or in his case, orange).

He should have fired Kellyanne Conway for her blatant promotion of Ivanka's clothing line.

He also needs to fix the VA problem NOW.  What's the big deal?  Just allow any vet to see any doctor/hospital.

Rumor has it Trump is still President.... :)

He said some nasty things when he was a Democrat!  ;D

Sessions committed perjury
Comey broke Hatch Act
Price broke STOCK Act
Conway broke Ethics rule
Trump broke Emoluments clause

Yep. He's the "Law and Order" President Predator.

And CPAC gave out Russian flags!  ;)

I was listening to Hugh Hewitt today. On Friday he does his weekly Hillsdale Dialogues segment with someone from Hillsdale College (one more reason to be a proud Michigander).

Today it was Dr. Paul Rahe and he mentioned many of the same things that I have been concerned with. The podcast isn't up yet but it was a pretty good listen.

The link is here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/hillsdale-dialogues-podcast/id663872027?mt=2

The new posting should go up soon.

And yes, Mr. Trump is president.  :)

I'll admit that I voted for Trump, my reasoning being ABC....Anybody But Clinton.

Having said that, I am beginning to experience "buyer's remorse" for many of the reasons already stated. As someone else said, he was not a politician when all of this started, and it does show. Hopefully, and this is actually a sad thing to say, President Trump will "grow" into the role.

On a different forum, there was a pretty good discussion on whether or not we are praying for President Trump. I'll admit that I didn't pray as much as I should have for Pres. Obama, but I am hoping to do better in regards to Pres. Trump.

Sometimes that can be true. But at least I have enough conscience not to vote for a self-admitted sexual predator. :D
