I Need a Text

With a few exceptions, I don't think anyone on this forum would disagree with you. Why do you ask?
Because of the blowback I receive when I point out flaws. Were I to spend my time railing against the sins of the lost I suppose no one would mind. Mention then mixing of the church and the world and the fur flies.

Anyone who uses the Bible to teach that Christians should have nothing to do with the political process, thereby having no say as to who our representatives are belongs in the category of those who worship the god of fools. Anyone who publicly supported Trump as opposed to Harris have soiled the gospel according to you. KOALEMOS was the personified spirit of stupidity and foolishness.

I would love to see the church apply this to herself as it was originally applied to Israel. If our land is in need of healing it's the responsibility of the church to turn from her wicked ways.
semper reformanda, some do.

I appreciate the fact that there are some who claim to be Christians who may put their political party over the Bible but to make a blanket statement condemning everyone who makes a public endorsement as mixing the church with the world doesn’t fly. Christians can cry out against immorality just as God commanded Jonah to do and still preach the gospel. Same sex marriage and transgenderism was not a political issue a few short years ago. Should Christians stay silent about these issues for fear of offending the lost?

Someone help! I still need a text for my patriotic sermon tomorrow. I've looked all through the Bible and can't find one. What did I miss!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Revelation 7:9-10

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

So, you’re guilty because you’re part of the church, right? Does this mean you’re part of the problem because our land isn’t being healed?

So, the church isn’t right with God because there is no revival??
The point was that the passage is not directly applicable to our country yet we pull it out of our bag of tricks to lament current problems.

Well, I am guilty.

See my previous post for the rest of my answer.

America was founded on Christian principles and for 200 years God was recognized throughout our nation by the government in the courtrooms and classrooms across this land. America is not Israel but God has blessed us in ways no other modern nation has been blessed. The scourge of chattel slavery and the Civil War cost us 620,000 men in lost lives. To put that in perspective, that would be six million today. I started first grade in 1959 and Bible reading and prayer was part of the daily curriculum. We would actually meet in the morning and periodically sing hymns before school started.

In 1962 the Supreme Court removed student prayer in the public schools. “Prayer in its public school system breaches the constitution’s wall of separation between Church and State.” Engle v. Vitale, 1962

In 1963 the Supreme Court removed school Bible readings: “no state law or school may require that passages from the Bible be read or that the Lord’s Prayer be recited in the public schools of a state at the beginning of each school day.” Abington v. Schempp, 1963

In 1980 the Supreme Court removed the Ten Commandments from view: “If the posted copies of the Ten Commandments are to have any effect at all, it will induce the schoolchildren to read, meditate upon, perhaps to venerate and obey the Commandments...establishment clause.” Stone v. Graham, 1980

In 1986 and 1989 the Supreme Court removed benedictions and invocations from school activities: “Religious invocation...in high school commencement exercises conveyed the message that district had given its endorsement to prayer and religion, so that school district was properly [prohibited] from including invocation in commencement exercise.” Graham v. Central, 1985; Lee v. Weisman, 1992

1962 was the first time in the history of the United States that any branch of the federal government took such a stand censoring religious activities long considered an integral part of education. Our learning centers have become a jungle with police officers required in every school across the land.

The Communist Party USA officially stopped running its own presidential candidates and began urging its voters to support the Democratic Party in 1988. Gus Hall was the last Communist Party candidate to run for President because it is much more profitable to elect Democrats who hold the same ideals.

And we now we have people like you telling Christians they have no right to participate in the political process to choose who our representatives are.
