Allen Parr gives five examples of people who believe they are saved but have been deceived. Does anyone disagree with him? I personally believe he is right on target.
1. The cultural Christian. Because they grew up in church or a Christian home, that makes them a Christian.
2. The aisle walker. What happened after that moment?
3. The moralist. I’m a good person.
4. The intellectual. Knowing facts about Jesus is the same is the same as being saved by Jesus. They are as straight as a gun barrel theologically, but as empty as a gun barrel spiritually as Vance Havner once put it.
5. Counterfeit Christianity. Which Jesus? Is it the Jesus found in the scriptures?
