If this were the Democrats...

I noticed that no one has posted the "idiocy" of the couple that is going to get a divorce to protest same sex "marriage".

One would assume that this would fall under conservative idiocy.

Of course walking around town with an AR15 strapped to your back isn't likely to be a liberal democrat activity either.  ;D

You both know it's categorically impossible for conservatives to perform idiotic actions! ;)

Exactly. The idiocy is not in liberal or conservative politics, but is found in the extremes of both sides. To paint all liberals with the extreme broadbrush is not a fair assessment; same would be a broadbrush of conservatism with their extremists, immoral leaders and narcissistic media hosts. Certainly there are differences of opinions but having differences does not idiocy make.

From how I see it, Reagan saw this and was able to bring liberals to his way of thinking while leaving the fringe radicals where they were (and even mocked them at times.) It seems he understood that there were more "middle ground" Democrats and didn't seek to paint every liberal as an extremist.

So Reagan was a RINO?  :o

Who knew?  ;)

Not necessarily. But was close enough to being moderate AND respectfully dialogue with moderate Dems.

Ha ha!  Even when you're making a "fair and balanced" statement, you can't resist a few extra digs at the conservatives!  Well played.

The "dig" was meant towards those that broadbrush and label everyone on either opposing aisle as being an extremist.

But yeah, it does include a dig at conservative extremists.  ;)
