Lots of firepower headed there.
The Independent reports that Iran is looking to purchase supersonic anti-ship missiles from China.

They're gonna need it, because I don't think Russia and China are going to stay inactive in this one, and there's word about vastly improved relations between Iran and Pakistan, who does have nukes.

I think Trump is looking for an exit, but Bibi has Trump by the boys.

You know it's not about the Christians, right? But I give up. How many?
For me, it is.

When I was in the Philippines, I was hearing about how the Iranians were going out, burning hijabs, and other acts of defiance and protest against the Khameni regime. At the time, I was hopeful that perhaps this would be their "Wall coming down" event and that perhaps there may even be a relatively peaceful transition like what happened when the Berlin Wall came down? I was hoping it wouldn't end up in a "Tianamen Square" moment but evidently this is, in fact what happened. The information is out there but you really have to dig to find it!

Here is one current article that refers to the crackdown Protests at Iranian colleges raise tensions and fears of new crackdown

It is these Christians I stand in solidarity with! I think we all should (Heb 13:3).

Perhaps this may become a reality now that President Trump has bombed the Khameni Regime back into the stone age?

I believe that it is vitally important that the "People" of Iran are heard loud and clear over the next few weeks and their voice needs to be unmistakable!

Either way, we really need to pray for our Brothers and Sisters over there!

Do you share the same solidarity with the Palestinian Christians?
I absolutely do and I believe I have stated so! They are not the blood-thirsty terrorists set on the destruction of Israel. They are caught in the middle and are often forgotten in the conflict. They are likely victims of Hamas just as are the Israelis.

We should absolutely pray for and show solidarity towards "Palestinian" Christians.

I don't think you do. I think you share a solidarity with what you imagine Palestinian Christians are thinking. In reality they clearly see Israel™ as the aggressor, and Christian Zionists as its enablers.

I agree that there is some really bad theology out there and I have heard my own Senator (Ted Cruz) butcher Gen 12:1-3 in order to justify unconditional support for Israel no matter what! I am not for unconditional support of Israel but I am for support of anyone who is fighting terrorism who wants nothing aside from seeing them wiped off the face of the map!

Thank you for the link. I will watch it but note also that I had "Palestinians" in quotations. There is no such thing as a "Palestinian" people and there was no established state. Why can't the so-called "Palestinians" exist in the land and be called citizens of the established nation of Israel? There is a significant muslim population who are Israeli citizens and are very pro-israel! Why can't the "Palestinians" follow suit? When the United States acquired the territories formerly belonging to Mexico, Mexican citizens retained any and all land ownership and were automatically granted US citizenship. Why didn't something similar take place with the establishment of the modern state of Israel?

What is different though is that there is an "Ethnic Connection" to the land which is something that is completely foreign to those living in and having little experience outside of the Continental United States? This is at the root of all of the generational wars that have lasted on for thousands and thousands of years and will continue until Christ comes!

And this is where we need to get really biblical here! In Christ, there is neither Jew nor Greek, bond nor free, etc.... If you are a Child of God, you are a Christian first and our citizenship is in heaven. This is where we need to begin the conversation. If these "Palestinian" Christians are screaming "Death to Israel" (it appears they are not), then I would say they are not genuine Christians but just as lost as their fellow Muslim "Countrymen!"

Where I need to plead ignorance is that I know very little regarding whether the descendents of Israel has any sort of "Eternal Claim" to the land so I would exercise caution here. I believe Israel has the right to exist and according to my understanding of the prophecies in Ezekiel, they seem to line up with the re-emergence of the nation of Israel!

I believe that there is a future role for the Nation of Israel in Bible prophecy but I do not believe it is the job of "Christian Zionists" to see to it that such is fulfilled! Wherever you stand regarding eschatology (I am historic Premillennial), we understand everything culminates in the Valley of Megiddo when Jesus returns to Mount Olivet. He will confront all the armies who have gathered to make war against Jerusalem. This is quite clear but I have no interest whatsoever in seeing to it that this event takes place!

I disagree with the Dispensational Premillennialist viewpoint and was pretty adamant about this when teaching our Sunday School class today! I disagree with Mike Huckabee, with Ted Cruz, and with a significant portion of Baptist preachers who take dispen-sensational-ism to the logical extreme!

Matt's on a tear about this. Pretty good observations about talking points that didn't exist last week.
Good for him. And good for you quoting Ekk’s source.🙃

It is possible to question the benefits of military intervention to the U.S. and still be glad the corrupt and evil Iranian regime is deposed.
You can disagree with the policy and still not cheer for America to fail.
You can believe Israel is a valuable and vital ally and not believe they should build another temple tomorrow.
You can disagree with Israel’s socially liberal government and not hate Jews.
You can disagree with Trump and believe he’s an egotistical idiot and not be an ignorant groupie of a gay, Nazi misogynist a.k.a. Nick Fuentes.
