I disagree with the articles below. I’d highly encourage every Christian to wear the crucifix/cross for multiple reasons, chiefly to ward off evil, but also for several other reasons such as being a witness for Christ, as a WWJD-type reminder of distancing yourself from sinful temptations, etc.

The first article comes from the United Church of God, which is an Armstrongite cult. Like the Jehovah's Witnesses and their view of the resurrection and the cross, I'd take what the Armstrongites say with a grain of salt.

The Challies article, to be precise, argues against wearing crucifixes, not crosses. The Protestant preference for a bare cross comes from our belief that the resurrection is the central tenet of the faith. The cross is empty because "he is not here; he is risen." The passion is true, but without the resurrection, Christ would have suffered needlessly.
 
Waring of crosses is wicked idletory amen! Only Cathlicks, liberale aprostolate ecumenists, and Devil worshiping hippies ware crosses! REPENT!
 
No problem with Christian accessories (crosses, T-shirts, jewelry, etc) as long as those aren't the primary evidence you are a believer.

I agree. My niece wears Christian sayings on her t-shirts, but, act like a whore.....Not a good example of being a "Christian."

Crosses are very offensive to Jewish people. It's like using the N word to an African American. The Jews have been horribly persecuted by the Klan, the Crusades, the Inquisition in the name of the cross. The Messianic Jewish Bible doesn't not mention the cross, instead it is referred to as a stake holder, or tree.
