Isn't WHBC/OBC an offshoot of Hyles?

Vineyard is definitely his own man.  He spent time in Hammond.  He also spent time with Falwell.

He chose to follow the Hyles module though and not the Falwell module.

Still, very definitely his own man.  I guess you could say he was a man before Falwell or Hyles.  :-\

He does lay claim to being the one who led First Baptist to a bizillion busses and multiple Sunday Schools

Seems he was a crazy, wild eyed "preacher" in those days also.  Heard the college loved him

Same story at Falwell's.

IF you already know, why start the thread?

Did you read the article in the link?

Maybe people had related situations from one of the unmentioned offshoots of First Baptist.

Vineyard was his own man and had a "I did it my way" mentality and he was tight with Hyles. He also mentored future world famous evangelist Caleb Garraway or "Caleb G" as he was known by his partnas at OBC and the street kids selling crack that would sometimes ride the bus.
