I have never been part of an IBF church, but would say that when known names fall into sinning, it dies give cause of Christ black eye among the unsaved

It only gives a black eye if handled the way the way many churches have historically handled it. Handling sin properly has a different outcome.

You mean if we follow Jesus example of how to handle a professing Christian being caught in known sinning without any show of repenting nor change?
