Jeff Owens to go back into the pulpit?

WHAT!?!

That letter leaves the uninformed with the opinion that his children are all model Christians and he has a wonderful, clean, happy home.  ???

He has a new book on marriage?  Really?  Is JS now going to write a book on marriage also?

Look, I like the guy as an individual, but..... maybe he should accept that he messed up his home and is no longer qualified to be a pastor.

Many IFBs completely ignore the qualifications of Pastors and Deacons as outlined in 1 Tim and Titus.

If they can scream while they preach, browbeat the congregation, produce Charles Grandison Finney invitations, be a Great MOG, drive the congregation to bring in more people to increase the offering, tell entertaining interesting stories, only then they would be considered qualified by many IFB churches.

We followed Bro. Hyles teaching on choosing a Pastor to get Schaap when we should have been following God's clear rules for selecting a Pastor.

Riotous sons disqualify a man for the job of Pastor. Remember Eli's sons.

1Ki_2:27  So Solomon thrust out Abiathar from being priest unto the LORD; that he might fulfil the word of the LORD, which he spake concerning the house of Eli in Shiloh.

Umm.....  Not sure you folks followed JH instruction on choosing JS.  JS did not believe the KJV is correct.  JS is a pervert (and was before he was pastor - shouldv'e asked some high schoolers).  Do we really need to continue that line?

Agreed on the other portion of your post, though.
