The private university in Lynchburg, Virginia, gave no reason for Falwell’s departure in a one-sentence announcement late Friday afternoon. But it came after Falwell’s apology earlier this week for a since-deleted photo he posted online that showed him with his pants unzipped, stomach exposed and his arm around a young woman in a similar pose.​

Falwell Jr is a tone deaf, proud, arrogant, ignorant, carnally minded simpleton.
Other than that, I’m sure he’s a wonderful human being.

Those characteristics are highly valued among many in your peer group.
Falwell Jr is just a couple of decades late or he could have been a leader of fundamentalism.
 
Politico reported that he and others were doing a parody of the Canadian TV show Trailer Park Boys. I knew Trailer Park Boys had an international fan following but I didn't know it went that far. That show is probably the most profane show in Canadian TV history.
 
Jr. has had an alcohol problem for a long time. He was ignorant enough to let his picture be posted on Instagram with his pants unzipped, as was the girls. She is pregnant and they were comparing bellies. Her husband took the picture. I believe there is zero chance that he is having an affair, outside of his marriage. However, the fact that, in addition to the above, he hasn't attended church, with any regularity, in years is just a matter of fact. I have known the Falwell family for over 40 years. Jonathon is a great guy and a good pastor. Jr. is his polar opposite. My guess is that his LOA will become permanent very soon. I congratulate the Board for making what had to be a very difficult personal decision, but it was the correct one to make. I pray for his personal and spiritual rehabilitation and that he is never allowed to become a leader again. This has been long overdue.

There was an article in the paper that he and his wife were both having affairs.
 
Somewhere in all this Jack Hyles is happy based on how much he hated the Fallwell's and Liberty and claimed they were "liberal". Good 'Ol Jack carried grudges with him to the grave and just didn't include the Fallwells. Greg Mutsch and Peter Ruckman were also on his Top 40 most hated list.

I was there when Jerry Sr preached the graduation ceremony at HAC.
 
Also Schaap wasn't fond of Falwell either claiming he helped start the CCM group DC Talk and that Falwell was a big promoter of CCM music but that was just Schaap's opinion.
