Jury finds Trump guilty!

The real problem we ought to be asking is:
what is wrong with us that we've reached the point where THESE TWO are the choices?
We don't live in a theocracy. No man would live up to your standards or mine. Both men are flawed but one promotes a policy that allows us to live according to our conscience while the other promotes the list I made earlier in this thread. One reason I am pre-millennial is the Bible teaches that in the last days things will get worse and worse (2 Tim 3:13), not better and the only hope is the Lord Jesus Christ coming back to set up a kingdom of righteousness. God has given us the freedom as Americans to vote for our elected officials through the ballot box and why should Christians not take a part in influencing the direction our country goes in? Every Christian should also be involved in evangelism but If it violates your conscience to vote, then don't vote. I don't believe anyone on this forum believes America should become a theocracy. Besides just voting, I pray every day that God will change the hearts of our leaders, including President Biden.

Agreed. John Calvin said God’s judgment on a nation was to give them poor rulers. I guess we get what we deserve. As has been stated here over and over…the choice is the lesser of 2 evils.

i hear people asking that question all the time.... i;ve started asking them - "what;s wrong with you?....that you can;t run for office yourself?... since you seem to believe you could do a better job....".. .. .then i tell them to leave the "us" or more specifically "me" out of it ... i already know i couldn;t do better or even half as well.. so i made a choice between a total loser who can;t tie his own shoes and a proven winner who already showed us once he knows how to run the country.. ..i was happy with him the first time he served and i;m sure i;ll be happy again if he gets elected...... ..

but since you - bruh.. and sub seem to have nothing but complaints.... why don;t one of you show us you can do even better than trump did, and maybe the voters will give you the job....

we can;t blame God for something being broke that He gave us the right and the ability to fix ourselves... but which we neglected to do anything about.... ... . . ..we don;t live in the age of calvin or the age of kings.... we are the descendants of people who fought for the right to rule themselves and won that right... and yes - God allowed them.. and us.. to have that right..... .... but along with that right came a huge responsibility - the duty to be involved in the process of training and selecting people to administer the government.... to be involved in the process... ....

but all i hear from most people here is how they think christians should completely avoid the process... stay totally separated from politics... some seem to think christians should not even vote...... ....so you are right... in a case like that the nation gets what it deserves - a judgement delivered by the worst most ungodly people in the nation... .. ....but it;s also a judgement we choose for ourselves because we failed to get involved....

New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan on June 7 alerted counsel for former President Donald Trump and the Manhattan District Attorney of a potential juror confidentiality breach.
“Today, the Court became aware of a comment that was posted on the Unified Court System’s public Facebook page and which I now bring to your attention,” Justice Merchan wrote in a letter.
"In the comment, the user, ‘Michael Anderson,’ states: ‘My cousin is a juror and says Trump is getting convicted Thank you folks for all your hard work!!!!’”
...
The defense may question the partiality of the jury, referencing their previous motion for a change of venue, given that the post suggests the jury had been about their verdict prior to reviewing evidence and a day’s deliberation.
Former U.S. Attorney Brett Tolman commented on social media that, if true, it may go beyond a mistrial and end the case because of double jeopardy.
it could also be an attempt to slow down trump and his lawyers in their attempt to file apeals...... . the judge probably already knows how he is going to throw out any case against the juror and keep his verdict intact.... .... he;s just using this as a diversion...kinda like throwing a dog a dry bone to keep him occupied... .... like christie noem probably did while she was loading her shotgun.... :sneaky:

If true, this is huge.

I basically agree and am very much involved in following politics and culture. I have made my preference clear here. However, God is sovereign and rulers only rise and fall at His pleasure.
