Why not? You think societal treatment of a black kid in 1950 is closer to that of a black kid in 2010 than that of a Native American in 1890?
I think you should ask some of them to be complete honest about their experience today.  Ask them what they think of the justice system.  Ask them do they experience racism and discrimination.  You might be surprised at the difference between their perspective of their experience and your perspective of their experience.
Fixed.

Pardon me if I do not feel compelled to see things as CM sees them.

By the way, how's that open season on black people coming along?  I hear there are almost no black people left in the USA because the Trayvon case made it okay to kill black people and get away with it.

The TM case did not make it okay to kill African-Americans it just highlighted that the "justice" system still protects those who do and that so-called "Christians" find it as acceptable as they found slavery, Jim Crow, etc.

So you think Zimmerman was found not guilty because he's non-black?  Delusional.

By the way, just thought I'd remind you of this quote.  This was before Zimmerman was found not guilty.

This open season on African-American males that people professing to be "Christians" find acceptable is what sucks but then there has always been a conspicuous absence of outcry from the American church as African-Americans have been killed and maimed by those who find African-American males to be a threat if they are not docile and submitting to their invasions of their person and privacy.

So you think there's always been an open season on black males?  Well, since 93-94% of murders of black males is by black males, maybe you should speak to some of the people who share your A-A experience.

Come on rsc2a you really don't think you have a better perspective of someone else's experience.  I am sure you know that is not so.  Read "Letters from a Birmingham Jail" and tell me was MLK's perspective correct or the perspective of the clergymen who were not being bitten by dogs, beaten by "law" enforcement, assaulted with fire hoses, etc.

Castor your silly stat is true for Euro-Americans as well.  The majority of Euro-Americans are killed by Euro-Americans.

I am comforted, however, with the fact that African-Americans who kill African-Americans are incarcerated to prevent them from repeating the offense but it makes me very uncomfortable that when Euro-Americans kill African-Americans the "justice" system seems to be a great deal more understanding.  It makes me even more uncomfortable when those professing to be followers of Christ still support such a system.

I didn't say that. I corrected you because you seem to equate one's perspective of their experience with the experience itself. These are not the same thing. The optimist and the pessimist can have the same experience and their perspective of that same experience might be completely different.

That is an excellent argument to discount perspectives that do not line up with one's own perspective.  I would argue that experience shapes perspective.  For instance my perspective  of the people on this forum has been totally changed by my experience in the wake of the TM trial.  So it would be hard for someone to evaluate how an experience changes someone's perspective when they cannot share in the experience.

Recognizing there is a difference in event and observation is an excellent argument to discount perspectives with?

Everyone on the boards at that time shared in the same experience. Personally, the only perspective that changed as a result was my perspective regarding your motives. But notice the key part: everyone shared the same experience.

According to the Justice Department, 84% of white people killed every year are killed by other whites.  So there's about a 10% difference there.  But I'm sure all those white people go free simply because they're white.

Now, let's have a look at the real statistics (from the Justice Dept), shall we?

Yeeeeouch!  Now that's gonna leave a mark.

No the euros who kill euros don't go free in this "justice" system a euro life has great value.  Can't see your image but thanks.

I DIDN'T THINK ANYONE WOULD TRY THE EXPERIMENT BECAUSE YOU KNOW WHAT THE RESPONSE WOULD BE.

As always the pleasure of this interaction has been purely mine.  ;)

No rsc2a there was another perspective that changed.  Maybe you missed it in my previous post.  MY PERSPECTIVE OF THOSE ON THIS BOARD THAT PARTICIPATED AND THOSE WHO SAT SILENTLY BY WHILE THEY RANTED AND ATTEMPTED TO BULLY AND ENGAGED IN AD HOMINEM ATTACKS AGAINST THE PERSON THAT DISAGREED WITH THEM CHANGED.

Here you go, LMBO, since you're graphically challenged:

.......................Percent of....................................................Rate per 100,000
..............Victims...........Offenders.........Population............Victims..............Offenders

White........50.3%.............45.3%...............82.9%...............4.5....................4.5
Black.........47.4%.............52.5%...............12.6%..............27.8..................34.4

Thanks Castor.  Am I to take your comment to mean that because I am an African-american who is not willing to swallow your euro perspective that I must be educationally challenged?  There is a term that some use for inferences like that.

The offender numbers would be higher for euros if they stopped hold trials for their African-american victims and started holding trials for them.  ROFL............  Never mind that's not a joke that is a reality......... :o

Like I said, you're delusional, with a bizarre victim mentality.

LOL........Never a victim CM but always a victor.  I was just think that you were delusional and have a bizarre mentality that makes you think that you are always correct  as you have demonstrated in countless threads.........LOL.

We are not going to agree and you are not going to bully me into silence and you are not going to get me to respond with the same un-Christlike responses that you have.  So how about we agree to disagree and you can stop wasting insults.  :D
...you are not going to get me to respond with the same un-Christlike responses that you have.
Actually, insisting on division and separation is pretty un-Christlike. There is no "black Church" and "white Church". There is neither Jew nor Greek....

There is ONE body with ONE purpose serving ONE God and ONE Lord Who has provided the ONE necessary sacrifice so that we may be ONE people through ONE Spirit.

To foster division and "other-ness" within the Church is to fall victim the powers and principalities of the world. Christ came to bring unity so that we all may see each other as brothers and sisters in the same family of God, regardless of race, caste, nationality, language, people-group or even era of time.

You are putting words in my mouth rsc2a.  I do not remember advocating racially homogeneous congregations.  Now there are many differences among those who are part of congregations including race, ethnicity, culture, socioeconomic conditions, etc. and none of these prevent them from being brothers and sisters in Christ.  This does not prevent unity any more than the diversity among the 12 apostles prevented unit.  So your accusation of my promoting division is false.  I oppose both division in the church and also assimilation.  Diversity is as necessary in the local assemblies as it is in our bodies to function properly.
