Actually, insisting on division and separation is pretty un-Christlike. There is no "black Church" and "white Church". There is neither Jew nor Greek....

There is ONE body with ONE purpose serving ONE God and ONE Lord Who has provided the ONE necessary sacrifice so that we may be ONE people through ONE Spirit.

To foster division and "other-ness" within the Church is to fall victim the powers and principalities of the world. Christ came to bring unity so that we all may see each other as brothers and sisters in the same family of God, regardless of race, caste, nationality, language, people-group or even era of time.

You are putting words in my mouth rsc2a.  I do not remember advocating racially homogeneous congregations.
I didn't say that. I said that you are actively promoting division.
Now there are many differences among those who are part of congregations including race, ethnicity, culture, socioeconomic conditions, etc. and none of these prevent them from being brothers and sisters in Christ.  This does not prevent unity any more than the diversity among the 12 apostles prevented unit.  So your accusation of my promoting division is false.  I oppose both division in the church and also assimilation.  Diversity is as necessary in the local assemblies as it is in our bodies to function properly.
Then stop making everything a black vs white issue.

I am not making it a African-american or Euro-american issue.  This issues do exist and the church needs to address these issues.  If the redeemed can't get this right then there is no hope for this country ever rising about its inhumane treatment of humans.

I think the problem is that I will not be bullied or insulted into silence and I will not agree with wrong views held by the majority.  Acceptance is good but assimilation is always deadly to the one being assimilated.

No one is bullying you into silence. You're not being targeted..... well maybe. You are probably being targeted by Dullton and Jackson. Enjoy the donations and solicitations.

Hmmm... African-American, Euro-American, Mexican-American.  I feel soooooo left out.  I want my own minority group.

I am Georgio-American

We come from the land of Jimmy Carter and our favorite food is goober peas!  Our colony was started by James Edward Oglethorpe as a collection of jailbirds and bankrupts, and we sure have not changed since.

Anthropologists say all civilization started in Africa.  So we're all African-Everywheres.

Strictly speaking, biblically the anthropologists are wrong. 8)

Yeah, I agree.    But I had to reference them for the sake of irony.

Wonder if that affects their perspective? ;D :o

Even from this particular perspective, I was unaware that the Bible ever said exactly where Eden was located.

Of course no one can say for sure exactly where Eden was located...but there is a reference that the Euphrates is involved and the Hiddekel (Tigris) so that would put it way to the north of the continent of Africa

yes you have.... to the point that you have totally disregarded the experiences and opinions of people from other races... (like myself.. mexican-navajo)... as if nothing we have to say or can relate to concerning racism is relevant... simply because we are not african american... .. you have put all of us (no matter what our racial heritage is or what kind discrimination and bigotry it is we might have encountered).. all into the same category as euro-americans.... .... which tells me that african americans in the 21st century of your social class and affluence don;t see us as any more worthy of consideration than european americans saw either of us 100 years ago ....

you didn;t look at the evidence presented in the case.....  when i first heard about this story i felt the same way you did.... i saw it as black and white...cut and dried.... .. but the evidence showed a much bigger picture.....  you are continuing to see it in black and white and doing nobody either black or white any good in the process...... you keep asking everyone here to check their racial bigot card?.... maybe you should take a hard look at your own...........

Thanks for the info aleshanee.

Your assumption that I didn't look at the evidence because I didn't arrive at the same conclusion with you and the rest of the folks on this forum is quite incorrect and telling.

I am aware that others have experienced discrimination in america.  I am also aware that each group has a unique experience and those from the other groups do not full grasp the experience of others.  I know their is a difference between being stolen from your homeland and having your homeland stolen from you.  I know there is a difference between being denied your humanity and the ability to understand what is happening to you in a strange land and the same things occurring in your homeland.  I know there is a difference between your culture being accepted as valid, i.e. Native Americans, and your culture being declared invalid, i.e. African-Americans.

I am not being any more divisive when I point out the issues that effect African-Americans in america than Paul was when he reference the existence of Jews and Gentiles.  Paul refused to let the dominate culture of the Jews in the church become the culture of the church but this has not been the case in america.  Paul did not call for assimilation or ignoring the issues as those in this forum have but instead he called for acceptance of differences and different views.

My concern with the subject is the silence of some and the vocal support of injustice or cry that there can be no such thing as injustice when it comes to African-americans and their insistence that I join them.  My concern is with the euro view that other people groups need their paternal input to "really" understand what they experience.  My concern is with those who claim to be Christians continuing the silence and support for injustice that characterized the church in america during slavery, Jim Crow, etc.  My concern is that the people on this forum feel it is christlike to insult and belittle me because I do not agree with their skewed view.  My concern is that the same people who hold up the prophets' identification with their fathers' sins as an example of Christianity refuse to do the same but yet identify all African-americans who disagree with them with the sins of their brothers.

Oh yeah, I don't know who EW is but my name is Wesley Roy and I am not EW but I am WR.  :D

His name was E.W. Fischer or something like that (assuming it was his real name).

Come on rsc2a.  It has been said over and over again that I just don't understand what is going on and you guys really understand.  I have been insulted so many times that I have lost track with my intelligence, relationship with Christ, fundamentalism, understanding, character, etc. all being called into question.  I have been accused of wanting handouts from the government.  Through all these things there has been no outcry that this behavior is neither Christian nor warranted--silence or support has been the rule of the day.  I have yet to see anyone own the injustice in america but I have heard many calls for me to ignore it our allow those who know much better to inform my view so that I see it as they see it.

I am 44 years old and so I have experienced these reactions and views for a lifetime.  That is not what bothers me.  What bothers me is when those who name the name of Christ are okay with it.

I'm not accusing you of wanting handouts, but you do work for the government, don't you?  In other words, you ARE living on the taxpayer dime, right?

Yes...now if you would be so kind as to actually point out where anyone has made these claims. Meanwhile, if you'd like, I can show you why the part I underlined is blatantly false.

No. EW had issues trying to string together a coherent sentence. graceandtruth is articulate.

There was another fella in the earlier years of the previous forum. Marlin Denver perhaps? He too was articulate. Wondering if there is a connection...

No SC.  I don't know Marlin Denver.  We African-american IFB's are few and far between for obvious reasons.
