Let's Get Back To Preaching by Lester Roloff

Brother Roloff did not abuse any kids. He helped them. And helped them to get their mind right by giving them access to the infallible word of God,  Which is the King James Holy Bible.

LOL, you are an absolute moron if you believe that nonsense. I have seen the abuse on more than one kid personally.

He denied them bacon. He might as well have butt-raped them every night before bed.

“Better a pink bottom than a black soul” – Lester Roloff
http://akopsa.wordpress.com/2010/02/22/history-of-violence-christian-boarding-schools-and-the-trial-of-jack-patterson/

from the article:In 1973, Roloff’s the Rebekah Home was in investigated by authorities for suspected abuse after a visiting couple saw a young girl being whipped. When welfare workers showed up to inspect the home, Roloff refused them entry, saying it infringed on the separation of church and state. Fortunately, Texas Attorney General John Hill didn’t share that view and filed suit against Roloff Evangelistic Enterprises.

Eventually, 16 girls would come forward and tell of whippings, imprisonment, and being handcuffed to drainpipes at the hands of Rebekah Home staff. Lester Roloff defended these methods as solidly rooted in scripture. Of the charges pending against his abusive methods, Roloff said, “Better a pink bottom than a black soul.” Attorney General Hill said it wasn’t pink bottoms he objected to but ones that were black, blue and bloody.
(Texas Monthly)

Where in Scripture are these "rooted in Scripture"? handcuffing kids?? whippings?? imprisonment?? What kind of sick man is this? And you look up to him??  whats wrong with you?
first off; why didnt he allow authorities into his homes if he had done nothing wrong? secondly, why did these girls come forward if Roloff was helping them?

Meanwhile, Vince Massi is defending Joe Combs. Maybe the two of them could get together and found a church where torturing children is a sacrament.

I haven't listened to Lester Roloff message; it may be fine; it may not.  So many of those messages are ones in which the Scripture is just a launchpad for whatever the speaker wanted to unload that time; it has nothing to do with what the Scripture (or, for that matter, ANY Scripture) said.

I would suggest that you first listen to it before making a judgment call.

Biblebeliever, are you sure you want to look up to a man that abused children? I hope not

Recovering IFB, how did he abuse children?

He was simply disciplining them. Do you realize that if a parent were to get caught spanking their child today that the DCF would come in and go after that parent for abuse?

Spanking a child is not abuse.

Now as far as handcuffing a child to a pipe, I don't agree with that. But who knows if that really happened or not?

And if it did really happen, have you ever considered that there may have been a valid reason for doing that? Ever consider that maybe the girl was trying to kill herself, and therefore was a threat to herself and to others?

Are you serious?? I mean, are you kidding me??? you can not be serious in your mind if you think that putting in cuffs and imprisoning them is disciplining them. you are a sick idiot if you feel this way and defend this man!!!!
Please, dont tell me you have children and you do this to them!! Dear God, please tell me you are incapable of reproducing. You cannot have children and think this is normal.

Again I ask you, where in Scripture do you defend handcuffing and imprisonment of children...

Obviously you have never worked in a Prison.
Neither have you worked in a Home, where convicted violent offenders are sent to get help.
You would understand,  the first time one chick stabbed another in the dorm, why cuffs were necessary.
When a habitual arsonist threatens to burn down the dorm, you cuff him up, lock him up, and call his parole officer.
You have no idea what you are talking about,  here.

The Juvenile Centers in every County are full of psychopaths, and you are defending those sick bastards.

Your life, and the lives of your co-workers are in constant danger, when you accept children sentenced to your institution.
If you don't act to protect your charges, and yourself, you cant help others.

I think that you are under the impression that these juveniles were there, voluntarily.  They weren't.
We arent talking about pie-in-the-sky ideology here, this is purely practical.

Roloff had girls there that murdered their own family.

Patterson had a multiple-arson psycho threaten to burn down the facility,  and put up a fight, when the staff disagreed with his plan.

You have no idea, unless you've worked in an insane asylum, or a prison, what these facilities face.

You cant help someone, when you let someone else kill them.

You really shouldn't comment on this, you obviously know nothing of being surrounded by violent criminals.

IF these people are this dangerous, why are they not in a government facility? Do they deserve to be handcuffed in a Christian home? Oh yeah! i dont know anything, Im from the suburbs. Im not down with the homies like you.
If they are in a Christian home and not incarcerated in a government institution murderers ,do not belong there, and even in prison they dont deserve to be treated by whippings,( which were witnessed by people visiting by the facility). especially in a Christian home....

your sick for even coming to his defense,...

You still don't know what you are talking about, and you probably think that beating a disobedient citizen is offensive.
And please don't reference slavery, because that is evil, beatings or no beatings.

I have been both a violent offender program member, and a staff member of a facility that accepted juvenile offenders.
We didn't whip, because it was illegal by then.
There are times when you absolutely have to restrain someone.

Cut this verse out of your Bible:

Pro 26:3
3 A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass,
and a rod for the fool's back.

Or, better yet, accept the fact that our Creator instructs us to beat people as a form of correction.
