The Student Government Association, as well as Chief of Police Richard D. Hinkley, also attended the event.

According to Hinkley, a student must be 21 years or older to carry a firearm on campus. Students and professors must have their weapons concealed at all times. Students are not allowed to have them in residence halls, and only handguns are permitted on campus. No other type of weapon is allowed.

Stinking liberals. There should be no limits on the 2nd amendment.

Obviously, "shall not be infringed" is too difficult a concept.

You strict constructionist!
How dare you!
That is a living, breathing document, capable of reflecting anything that a liberal Supreme Court wants it too!

I am not a fan of this policy, but will wait and see how it works out for them. Guinea pigs.

Yeah, they've already had a shooting death on campus less than a year ago. Wonder if this played any part in this decision.

I hope in the long run it is a non-issue.

Even when I was there in the beginning of the college I was allowed to carry. I carried a sword every day to class.

The shooting death was a student who attacked a campus police officer with a hammer.

Hammers should be banned from campus immediately!  ;D
If fff statistics remain true, this should prove to be a good move by LU.
