With the "nature" argument presented here earlier....I guess lions have it wrong!

Num 6:5 ? Num 6:9
All the days of the vow of his separation there shall no razor come upon his head: until the days be fulfilled, in the which he separateth himself unto the Lord, he shall be holy, and shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow.
All the days that he separateth himself unto the Lord he shall come at no dead body.
He shall not make himself unclean for his father, or for his mother, for his brother, or for his sister, when they die: because the consecration of his God is upon his head.
All the days of his separation he is holy unto the Lord.
And if any man die very suddenly by him, and he hath defiled the head of his consecration; then he shall shave his head in the day of his cleansing, on the seventh day shall he shave it.

Context....shaving your head.

Let me give you a better translation

Num 6:5  all the days of his separation:--a razor shall not come upon his head, until the days be fulfilled which he vowed to the Lord: he shall be holy, cherishing the long hair of the head,

Maybe you forgot about Samson?

Nope, didn't forget anyone.

There is no indication that the Nazarites couldn't shear their hair, only that they couldn't shave their head.
Simple.

Do I know where long begins?

No.

Do I care?

No.

I cut mine every couple of months, when it gets so long I have to brush it.

Among all the churches of God, there is no hair standard worth fighting over- PSV (prophet's simplified version)

I've meet a few like you before. You read what you want to read. Even in the KJV.... verse 5 clearly says...

shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow

Why are you ignoring Samson? In fact, The Scriptures declare that Samson had "seven locks" of hair. We all know Samson had long hair.

Us bald guys think you are all a little silly about this hair thing.  :-\

It seems clear from I Cor 11 that it is God's will for a man to have "short" hair and for a woman to have "long" hair.

Heard this:

I know that Bro Hyles (and others) taught that the hair line is what makes hair "short" or "long", but that doesn't come  from the Scriptures. The Bible says that the woman's (long) hair is given to HER for a covering.  Therefore, the woman's hair is to "cover" something (on her head) that is not covered on a man's head.  Practically speaking, this "something" could only be the ears or the neck, or both.  The ears are actually part of the head, whereas the neck is the part that connects the head to the body, so the weight of evidence is that it is the ears that should be covered on a woman and not covered on a man.

Nazarite vows really don't apply to this teaching in I Cor, since the Nazarite vow was a Jewish vow that was either for life (as in Samson) or for a defined duration.

Maybe the Nazarite issue doesn't apply, but clearly that which you posted from Hyles and others has no standing either...except in their little worlds.

Explain to me how the Nazarite doesn't apply?

Why is it a sin for a non Jew to wear long hair but a Jew is clear to grow his hair out under a Nazarite vow?

Nature said so.  8)
