My wife & I are following a chronological reading plan this year. The major themes it seems for the last 5-6 months are Israel's unfaithfulness and God's longsuffering. I knew the Bible spoke of those topics, but reading chronologically and spending such a large portion of the reading plan where those are the major themes, it just really hit home just how longsuffering God is.
