... sorry.... ;D ....... i think i know what you are trying to say.... it;s actually mele kalikimaka..... which people have taken to mean "merry christmas" in hawaiian because it was used in a song with the same name......
but the real way to say merry christmas in hawaiian is.... le'ale'a kalikimaka ..... which probably didn;t sound right trying to sing it in a song.... :-\...... so the song writer used the word "mele" instead.... ... which people take to mean a wild party..... but i think it actually has no direct english translation.... and if it had to be described it would sort of be a combination of a raucous party that originated with a rock concert and ended with a few brawls here and there..... ???
