A men's group I belong to on Facebook is currently having a spirited discussion on whether GoT is porn or not.

It's on HBO, so of course the nudity is gratuitous.

I really love the books, but I've avoided watching the series. Martin's novels have their fair share of sexual situations (though arguably no more than any other literature aimed at adult readers), but reading about it and viewing it are two different things.

Oh, I fully agree. I took a little bit of flack for saying it's porn even though I've never watched the show, but from what I've read on numerous blogs and websites, what goes on on GoT definitely fits my definition of porn.
