Miley Cyrus...the MTV awards...the culture just keeps getting better....

I saw it this morning and I was in shock. ....I don't know that type of music.... I wonder what her parents were thinking

What did they expect?  It's not like this was the Dove Awards.  It's MTV.  Sex is basically one of their mainstays of what they sell.  Stupid Parents.  What shocks me is that they took their kids expecting anything but this to happen.

The reaction of the Will Smith family was priceless - Truly a picture does say a thousand words.

Yes, it is definitely priceless.

I missed it. I watched Gran Torino instead. It didn't seem like it would be my kind of movie, but I liked it anyway.

I'm just so heartbroken about missing Miley, I have no words to describe it.  ::)

She is the next Lindsey or Brittney...heading straight for a crash, just another professing Christian family who have gone into the world and become more like it than the Jesus they say they believe in...very sad.

Get off my lawn

Best part of the movie.

I thought the best part of Gran Torino was when he told the priest you can call me Walt.  But the clip you showed was also good. A great movie all around.

BTW I quit watching award shows , talk shows years ago. I am so glad I did.

"The coarsening of American culture began in the 60's".

If it didn't begin then, it certainly accelerated.
And where it's headed isn't going to be pretty.

You're up for a Schaffer award for 'Short People got no reason to live...'

I think it really began with the increasing popularity of rock and roll music.

As I've said before, certain aspects of American culture are notably worse than earlier times. Certain aspects are markedly better. It's not a simple black-and-white issue.

Or, perhaps the general acceptance of a culture behind the music.
