Are you just trying to get "leadership" (that is, Bob Ross), or do you have any kind of proof (other than hearsay) that the leadership knew about this?  If the leadership knew, and swept this under the rug, shame on them!  May the people kick them out!

It sounds from the article that S Winn no longer attends there (or didn't attend at the time of his arrest) -- "while he worked".

Maybe they removed him from the position?  Isn't reporting mandatory?  Couldn't the leadership get in trouble if they did nothing and were notified.

He was a Deacon, Bus Driver, and Assistant Youth Pastor.  When leadership found out they kicked the girl out of school and thats when police were notified.

3 New Charges added.

That?s so typical blame and punish the victim.
At least Your last pastor had the decency to hang himself and spare the church of a show trial.

Sure is a lot of sexual sin in the IFB churches.

Sad to say that Bro. Hyles had a great influence on Mat?s life and by extension on the life of this latest young man. So sad.
Beware of being arrogant and proud, so sure of one's self.
Typical of IFB so-called men of God.

All the news stories say police received several tips,  thats because when the church went into coverup mode some people spoke up.

The current pastor learned well from his previous boss how to always blame the victim, how to keep the membership silent and how sweep things under the rug.

Good job to the members who spoke up and did not cower to the pressure for silence.

This guy is listed on their website as a staff member. Any relation to the suspect?

In prison ministry, I had met a man whose son was also sent to the same prison.  He told me, "At least I know where he is".

I am not doubting that he's guilty; I would like to know how you think the leadership knew about this.  Nothing published says anything about things.  Police received tips on or about 18 Feb, which means that this wasn't something from a few years back.

The article says nothing about when Open Door fired him.

IF TRUE, indeed -- good on those who spoke up.  But did the church leadership know and cover it up?

Larry was removed from their website. They could have just kept him on staff but changed his title from Bus Director to Prison Ministry Director.

Removing him from the web site is not a sign of a cover-up.  Lancaster and North Valley have also done this -- not that they are the standard for right or wrong; just trying to say that churches do this kind of thing.

You know that if they DIDN'T remove him, there would be all kinds of people accusing them of supporting the pervert.

Agreed Walt. They are going to catch flak either way. Romving him from website as he is no longer part of ministry was the right thing to do.

Its just sad to see this happen over and over again

Root of this problem goes back to Bro. Hyles through Dave and Miller Road and JV and his arrogant style learned from Bro. Hyles.
It?s the gift that just keeps giving.

Thank You,  I cannot say everything I know  but Bob Ross tried to cover it up and the people went around him.

I agree that this is said... only good thing is that more evil men are in jail.
