Seldom is there an all or nothing answer to issues where Scripture is silent or unclear.
Music, dress, Bible versions are 3 such areas.
It gives me pause when anyone on either side of the aisle claims their arguments are the definitive position.
In my experience, there are idiots on both sides of these arguments....I have been one on a number of occasions.  :)

but on the other hand... i heard they were preferable for business men and upper class types who might be prone to depression... :'( ........  because..... it is almost impossible to hang ones self with a bow tie.... .. plus...people generally smile at you when they see you wearing one... :)... and it;s even hard to keep a straight face dwelling on morbid thoughts if you happen to pass by a mirror or large window and see yourself wearing one.... :D

of course... i never tested any of those theories myself..... coz i don;t wear bow ties...... but i have had female friends who did wear them... :(.....  as part of their finer dress wear...  :-[.... and a lot of people who saw them together would have agreed with you about their bow ties being demonic.... even depressing....... but the word they used to describe themselves was just the opposite.... and implied they were unusually happy.....  ???

If "blessed are the ties that bind" then bow ties are as blessed as much as their ability to bind things....I suppose.

The Doctor used his bow tie to "bind" himself to River in "The Wedding of River Song." Wrapped it around one of his hands and one of hers for the ceremony. In that instance, the bow tie, while not only being cool, was blessed. :D

We hosted a concert by Rend a few years ago....on their first visit here, I think.
