Must what does plenary mean?

I know what it means, when I install a furnace, but what does it mean, when it is on some church's doctrinal statement of faith?

It really depends on who you ask. Many extend plenary to mean absolute authority. Some use the term as means to show completeness. (KJVO).

The word Plenary means nothing more than "complete" or "completely".

I personally prefer the definition of "wholly".

Many churches will state the believe in the plenary inspiration of the Bible.  It means that the complete Bible was inspired (unlike those who claim Paul's writings are lesser than Luke's) and the Bible is complete (no further books or secondary inspiration)

If I had plenary of money, I might buy one of these:

plenary gears....... completely immovable.... 3 gears arranged like this can;t rotate....
they are so close together their teeth interlock and they are held stationary by each other......
virtually useless as they are..... and in these positions ....even if mounted on rotating shafts...






as opposed to planetary gear.... moved by 3 other
gears which are moved by a central driver gear....all rotating
on shafts which are plenary....and positioned to keep the gears
close enough to drive each other and work together.... but not
so close they interfere with each others movement.. ......

altogether better able to to perform a job or function.........

Wow!,  kinda like multiple Bible versions are useful for understanding the underlying Bible text.

Multiple versions are a good thing and are pleasing to the LORD.
