Nick Sayers, TRO is having Steven Avery speak at his Johannine Comma conference.

Amazing! The passage they fight for as they declare it is the clearest proof text for the Trinity and they bring in a nonTrinitarian (who doesn't know Greek) to support their cause.

Why do KJVOs and TROs use those who fight against the faith to promote their twist on a textual matter?

It's because the King James Version Only position is so weak that they need all the help they can get. That's why staunch rock-ribbed IFB contenders for the faith trot out Erasmus (Roman Catholic) and Benjamin Wilkinson (7th Day Adventist) on behalf of KJVO.

KJV-only "allies" include a Sabellian (Avery), a Roman Catholic (Desiderius Erasmus), a Seventh-day Adventist (Benjamin Wilkinson)--illinoisguy mentioned the two latter--and a High Church Anglican (John Burgon) who thought Baptists and other Nonconformists were rebellious schismatics. To say nothing of all the various Presbyterians, Pentecostals, and whatnot that share their opinions.

For all their vaunted "separation," the KJVers sure are a latitudinarian bunch of ecumenicists.

Pensacola Christian College (with some help from Theodore Letis, Lutheran) takes a stand for the KJV:
