To me, the forum is more fun when you enter into less of the long-winded confrontations with others who are basically trying to explain everything that they have read or studied. I agree, you should sit back and relax for a bit! Take time for what you think is important in your in life.  Then, come back with a vengeance and post 3,500 more times, if that's what floats your boat.

I enjoy reading your contributions here, like many of the others here.

Remember, iron sharpens iron. Creampuffs don't sharpen iron.

My kids were in a HAC-like institution for a while.  They get some of the jokes, and occasionally crack their own about the place they were.  But, to know everything here.......whoa........it just might blow their little brains.  ;D

Great Post!

This is the humor that used to prevail on the forum.  It pulled me back in time to my seat at FBCH, made me fondly remember my upbringing, had enough satire in it that it showed some of errors of the movement by its sheer post and incorporated the current events on the Forum.  I miss posts like this.

Forget Finney! I just read some of what Spurgeon wrote and believed and I seriously wonder if many of the ifb preachers know this or if they just quote him because they think it makes them sound intelligent. I just read where he said something about beer. He said something like beer helps me to sleep and when I sleep I am not sinning so...........

More likely, it was his results -- it seems that whatever had big numbers was promoted highly.  Any good reference to read about Finney?
