juan2manybeers should not be on this forum. This is my opinion and I understand this is an open forum. However, I am asking him to voluntarily leave.

His name is a disgrace to Christianity and it shows a clear lack of respect for the traditional Christian values and historical norms.

Upon reading his posts and threads, I want to clearly warn those on this forum that I do not believe his motives and agenda for being on this forum are genuine and for our best intentions or our edification.

His profile says his faith is: alcoholic. Should I say more?

I understand what you're saying if he follows the guidelines he has every right to stay... you never know the influence on someone's life for the good.

If I had a daughter that wrote from the heart go tell your dad to read this thread... he will be one proud dad... not that he isn't... I'm so proud of her writing

He states he is an agnostic , at one time they were not allowed to join apparently that has changed. but then again the fighting Fundamentalist forum was a place for fundamentalists that also has morphed into something else. You see it all the time  orthodox ,,, liberal ,,,,,,, apostate.

Because Jesus was all about exclusion??

It's not like Jesus drank wine, or even provided wine for , lets say, a wedding?? You know, historical norms in Christianity flows of alcohol, not American, Finneyistic Christianity though, so I could see your point :-\.....

Even if true, which you really dont know his agenda, are you afraid of it and not confident what you believe? or worse, might learn?

[drinking William La Rue Weller while typing] So because he had 1 too many,( and hey!, who hasn't?)
you haven't had 1 too many servings at the Baptist pot luck dinners? took 1 second too many staring at the shorty 2 pews in front of you?, doesn't make him an alcoholic. Matter of fact, insinuating him to be one when you don't know is sinful in itself.

Sorry to disappoint, but I don't have any ulterior motives. Just bored. I'm not actually an alcoholic, or even a fan of the stuff anymore, but if my name or denomination could represent your forum badly I'd be more than happy to have them changed. It was just a joke. Maybe Juan2manyposts? :p

Romans 14:14-21 (KJV)
14  I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
15  But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.
16  Let not then your good be evil spoken of:
17  For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
18  For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
19  Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
20  For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.
21  It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.

Aleshanee has done an awesome job coupling the gospel with her defense of marriage on the "Gay Marriage" forum.

Admin, I'm so proud of Aleshanee writing skills ...she
writes from the heart and I took the time to read through it made me so proud of her. I've never been afraid of people who say  there is no God.... they know the truth...

In the book Angels by Billy Graham he talks how angels are watching and that's my prayer Juan... God never gives up

Agreed! I am and always have been a fan of hers. We don't always agree, but I don't expect that of anybody. :-*

This new guy, Juan, I don't know about yet, but he seems to be ok, reasonably well-mannered, and seems to generate good, honest discussion.

Hey, I resemble that remark!  :P

Seriously, I consider myself a moderately conservative Anglican, but in an IFB crowd, that's liberal.

We're very blessed to have you here, too, Iz.  You're a rare and beautiful flower and bring a unique and wonderful perspective that I really appreciate.

While I'm dishing out the compliments, let me toss one Recovering IFB's way.  I love his posts, his humor, and the way he enjoys true liberty.

Sherryh brings childlike innocence and faith to the forum and makes it a better place to be.  And there are others I appreciate, but it's too early in the morning for me to recall them all.

There are a few I could, admittedly, do without -- but then that would make this forum boring.  The only people I think really shouldn't be here have already been ousted.

I agree.  OZZY hates my posts, but if someone didn't, I wouldn't be me.

If that was the bar by which we allowed posters, certainly, there are plenty of Christians on this forum that also have a "clear lack of respect for the traditional Christian values and historical norms."

We have Christians participating here that...
  • come from a strict IFB background and still continue in the IFB churches
  • are rejecting IFBism and are working through their issues
  • have rejected IFBism and have found freedom in Christ in other denominations/nondenominationalism
  • have rejected IFBism, turned atheist/agnostic and are still uncertain of what they currently believe
of course there are others that don't fit the above...

Suffice it to say, that while the primary function of this forum is devoted to discussing/debating all things fundamentalist, we can expect the occasional professed agnostic/atheist to want to discuss issues from a biblical perspective, bouncing off current IFBrs and former IFBrs.

So, are we an OPEN, CLOSE or CLOSED forum? :D

We are OPEN to the degree that anyone is invited. We will CLOSE OUT ANYONE who wants to dominate, take over or behave in a persistent carnal manner.

at this time the forum has left the liberal stage of its existence  and is approaching the apostate stage ?

Oh noes!

Maybe the Real True Christians should jump ship while they still can!

At least it's not an enlarged apostate.
