One of the highlights of our pastors leadership was opening a pantry that gave food to the needy in the community every Thursday. My son worked many hours assisting with this ministry. While away for the Christmas Holiday the Church had their last pantry day. Pastor works full time now and is actively working on starting his own Church - this is the first of many things to change.
Last night I helped move one of the freezers to a members house. No need for it anymore.
It is sad, but it was the pastors availability on Thursdays that made this work.
I can't wrap my mind around God's Will for our Pastor including closing a ministry that many saw as a small spark of revival in our Church. The ones who came to pantry have been given an invitation to another Church who has a pantry not too far away.
