ALAYBOY has a tender heart.  His prayers are often about God saving people.  He came home from school the other day and said "I witnessed today daddy".  I asked him what he meant.  He proceeded to tell me that he started a conversation with two of his buddies at school about whether they went to church or not.  He then transitioned into whether or not they were saved.  "Tommy" said he didn't know what that meant, and a little bit later he led "Tommy" to the Lord.  It was a barebones prayer that he led him in, but praise Jesus that the boy has a desire to see his friends and classmates saved, and puts feet to his prayers.

I am rejoicing that he has a monergistic view of salvation.

:D ;)

No, he just has simple child-like faith.  It's the adults that have to complicate things. :)

Shame the FFF doesn't focus on these sort of testimonies more often.

Absolutely agree!

There was a day on the FFF when the Fellowship forum is where this post would have been properly placed, and abundant conversation would have taken place.  The fellowship forum was almost as active as the fighting forum back in the day.  That probably says *something* about the nature of where this place has devolved.  There's still good people and good conversation occasionally, but there is a marked difference for sure.

If you're not the solution, you're part of the problem.

There is the fellowship forum for that. Remember, this is a fighting forum?
Besides, did you read what I wrote? I said I was rejoicing over your sons proper veiw of salvation

More eyes pass over it here, for mutual edification.  Besides that, I wasn't really bustin' your chops, but rather makin' the point that in spite of our imperfect soteriology and efforts God does the saving.

Just in passing, but I don't read forums.  I choose "Show unread posts since last visit" and that picks up everything from the main fighting forum to the HAC forum and any other forum that has activity.

I suspect others do this, as well, so whether your post is in Fellowship or Fighting, it will likely be seen.

I also suspect that you don't come here for the fluffer-nutter posts, but you rather enjoy a good roll in the mud as you argue and defend your positions.  :)  <----- smiley added to appear convivial.

You suspect correctly, but, back in the day I occasionally participated on the other side, and very regularly enjoyed reading those that posted in the fluff stuff.

Who comes here for mutual edification? It's a fighting forum, remember? I have real life friends, that hang out in real life places discussing our real life problems/experiences. And yes, I do think you are disingenuous with emojis.

No, I assume everybody does the same thing, I was basically calling your statement BS

Apparently, you do.

I rejoice anytime someone has a heart for the lost around them...always happy to hear when someone has a tender heart for the Lord!  Thanks for sharing!

If I remember correctly, I started a thread called "Bragimony Time"; he could just have dropped it in that thread.

Yep

3Jn_1:4  I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

Especially when they have their soteriology together at a young age?
