Because he doesn't lay on any blame on Trump for choosing White? I'd tend to agree, but Peters doesn't pull his punches with these WOF clowns.
 
Rest assured she'll advise him that 'blessing' Israel will assure American prosperity, thus rendering any other criticism, biblical soundness notwithstanding, much ado about nothing.

He rightfully and clearly calls out the stupidity and idiocy of White but never once criticizes Trump for his ignorance and lack of judgment in choosing her.

I am not upset with President Trump that he chose Paula White to lead this new office. Donald Trump is not a theologian and does not understand the theological heresies of the Word of Faith movement.​

Subtext: "Trump is theologically ignorant and doesn't know what he's doing."

Also, Peters is a critic of Charismatic/prosperity gospel/Word of Faith types, not generally politics, so a more charitable reading of his article would be that he's not venturing too far outside his wheelhouse.

I see how you can get that perspective, but I tend to read the article through the lens that Ransom just cited. Trump is expedient as a politician, and foolish as a theologian. His priorities don't lie with Evangelical fidelity as much as what is going to get him the most bang for the buck with voters, and she checks the box of female, appealing to a broader modern day base of Evangelical Christianity. And I wouldn't put it past him to use that sort of superficial judgment to factor in that she is decent eye candy. Where I thought that the writer was right absolutely on the money, was taking to task the other folk who are more conservative evangelicals (like Jeffress) that give her a pass, and didn't tell Trump to not go that route, even though they know better.

I do understand your (and Alayman’s point) and since the article was even put out the Blaze, uber Trump supporters, goes to said point.

But, having put out the article which no doubt ticks off Trump, and sparing no criticism of others mentioned, I’d have at least pointed out that Trump should and could have sought better counsel before naming this group!
Trump just does needlessly dumb things…too often.

True dat! But he's still a darn sight better than the previous administration.

I'd like to think that with enough push-back, we can bring some semblance of sanity back to our political arena. However, with the deteriorating mentality of human kind, I am resigned to believing the current political turn around is little more than a momentary spark of lucidity before a collective cloud of dementia returns.

There seems to be so much difference between "First-Term Trump" and "Second-Term Trump" that you would think they were entirely different men! Second-Term Trump really has his act together and hit the ground running and wasting no time whatsoever! He seems much more "Presidential" and is actually on relatively amicable terms with the press. I am actually proud to call myself a "Trump Supporter" now!

I would love to see someone like John MacArthur, Voddie Baucham, or Ray Comfort (or even Justin Peters) having a visit with him and yes, I do wish that Paula White and her ilk would just go away!

I really do not care for women preachers and I am not impressed with Paula White. Plus she had led one or two churches downhill. Beside TB, we both have something in common with Trump, we had done some dumb things so far during our lifetime.
 
We didn't set out to elect a pastor but got one anyway. A bonus I suppose.
