I read A Fine and Pleasant Misery and They Shoot Canoes Don't They? When I was in high school. I read more of his books over the years. I met him at a book signing in 2000.

He was HILARIOUS. His stories about his mentor, an old mountain man named Rancid Crabtree, who, as far as he knew, the only bath he ever took was when he accidentally fell into a creek... childhood and co conspirator, Retch Sweeney... some of my favorite stories were about the time he went deer hunting and bagged a white tail and bought it home on his bicycle only to discover as he was riding down the mountain with it it wasn't quite dead... 😂🤣😂🤣 and his "mountain car" which the county sheriff asked him, "What does this thing run on... wet leaves!?" 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Pence is a horse's petute that's spouting junk trying to raise his status. I have little to no respect for the man.
