The point of Jesus' story was not how terrible hell was, but how stubborn the living were.
Besides, the rich man didn't say he wanted to hear about God. He only wanted his suffering relieved.

It says what it says...
"‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house, for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’ Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’ And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’â€
Testify to them about what?
Repent from what?
I don't think Timothy's OP is wrong just because he's Timothy or KJVO.....

And Ransom's not wrong just because he's a.....................Calvinist. Scott was right. He didn't ask to get out. The Bible states that one day he'll be judged according to his works. My guess is he helped lead them boys down the road they're going. Just because one dies that doesn't stop the consequences of one's sin from building up. He was looking to ease his punishment. But that's just me
