Please pray for my daughter...

The MRI came out clear, thank God.  Must explore other areas for cause of this chronic headache including stress or diet or both.  Any ideas you all would have would be helpful.
Thank you all for your prayers and friendship.

Ticks!  Do you have ticks in your area?  If so do blood work and test for Lyme disease. It's very hard to detect but I know headaches are a symptom.

I'm so glad to hear her MRI came out clear! Whenever I hear about a child having headaches I think back to a few years ago when we were in that situation and our child was found to have a tumor the size of a grapefruit in her head.
Will be praying for your daughter?

Don't know her age but when our daughter was young she had a day when she started to experience extreme pain.  I finally took her to the emergency room and they ran tests.  Problem?  Pre-menstrual.  She was about 11 or 12.
Funny you should mention that, my wife said the same thing.  Thanks for some confirmation on that.

Please continue to pray for Jacqueline and us as we seek alternative possibilities for her continued pain.  Tomorrow we go to the eye doctor.

where are her headaches centered?........ i.e. are they generalized involving the entire head?......in the frontal part of the forehead?.....the temples.. either one side or both sides?........and did they take her pulse - blood pressure - O2 saturation and blood sugar levels at the time the head ache was occurring?.......... sometimes young people can have severe fluctuations in those things that cause transient headaches....... also.... stress can cause severe spasms of the temporal muscles due to subconscious tightening of the jaw whenever stress is present.........

there are a lot of things that can cause headaches....... but a clear MRI is a very good sign and rules out the most serious things....... does she get any kind of aura or strange feeling of forewarning before the headache starts?........if so then it is possible it could be migraines..... but migraines can also be atypical and begin suddenly without the classic aura or forewarning........ .... i;m praying they will resolve..... but also praying that if they don;t her doctor will arrive at the correct diagnosis and be able to treat her with something that works.............
I can say this: her headaches have been consistent for the last week or more.  There has been little let up although yesterday she had a very brief respite.

TMJ? Could her jaw be out of line? My sister use to get migranes, did everything possible, ended up having jaw surgery and wore braces and she is fine. Just something to think about

So glad the MRI came out okay.  Migraines are horrible.  Did your doctor put her on anything?  I take Relpax when mine start.  Change of seasons, especially the winter is really bad for mine.  My neurologist said the barometric pressure changes can set them off, but sometimes I never know.  Chocolate, soda (but I drink my fair share).  My doctor says a cold pack when they start, but I use the hot packs.  I hope she's feeling better.  Headaches are not fun!

If you don't get some relief soon, I would suggest you find a headache specialist/headache clinic.

This is probably totally unrelated but my wife suffered severe migraines for years. We heard everything you can imagine from doctors about TMJ, sinus problems, possible brain tumor, and even "lady it is all in your head". You think you are in pain but you are really not.

Took three years but we found she had a problem with her vertebrae in her neck. Three surgeries later she is still in pain and probably needs a fifth vertabrae fused but at least we know what the cause of the problem was/is. No cure and she takes enough pain meds to drop a horse along with the problems prolonged use causes, but there is no cure and there is no respite from the pain meds.

Reminds me of severe headaches that I experienced in college. I started with my regular doctor, MRI, sent to neurologist, nothing found and they had no idea. Ended up going to the chiropractor and he took some x-rays, said my back looked fine. He asked about my day at work, I operated a steel shear at the time. He then asked to look at my boots... ended up being a worn heel on my boots. Due to the repetitive work I wore my heel uneven. New boots, no headaches.

Amazing of all the nuances that effect the human body and the small issues that cause big problems. Praying that God can direct the physician to properly care for this issue.

Thank you all so much!

A daily mild allergy medicine may alleviate the headache if it is allergy-related.
We have tried benadryl but it did not seem to have any effect

My daughter and grand-daughter have frequent headaches and the allergy meds dull the pressure, but don't alleviate the pain.
I sure hope you can find the source.  It is especially difficult to pinpoint a cause in a younger person.  My husband had to work in a pain clinic weekly for 4 years and they only accepted adults.
