I just received notice that an unspeakable tragegy (possible death) has occurred in a family of our church.  I beg you to pray for a young boy's life.

Thanks and God bless.

Lord, please reach out to this family and the people around them. Give peace in a way that only You can. Heal the child if that is still an option. Heal and bind the hurting hearts. Stop the waves of fear and anger and replace them with comfort. Give Alayman an opportunity to minister to this family. Give him wisdom and grace to know what to say and to know when to stay silent. I lift this situation before your throne of glory and ask you to show your power and might in the midst of this storm. That the testimony of the next few days would radiate your love and mercy to those who observe from a distance.

Jesus calmed the seas and raised the dead. He won the victory over death. He is the one who made it possible for us to approach you, so it is in His name that I ask these things.

Amen

He's dead.

I'm speechless.

please pray for the family.

I don't know if this applies, but it came to mind.

Isaiah 57:1 The righteous perishes,
And no man takes it to heart;
Merciful men are taken away,
While no one considers
That the righteous is taken away from evil.
2 He shall enter into peace;
They shall rest in their beds,
Each one walking in his uprightness.

May God wrap His arms around this family!!

Praying for the family and your church as the Lord ministers in the hearts of the people.

When it hits close to home, or home, it is never easy.

I cried like a baby when a dear mom of three boys passed away at our last Church.

Love between our sisters and brothers is amazing.

I will pray.

Thanks to all who have prayed.  Please continue to do so for the family, the other children/teens in the church who will have to deal with the figuring this out, and my pastor who may have to do the funeral.

It was a middle school boy, son of a sweet lady in the church, and one I had taught in Junior Church.  He took his own life, very possibly due to having been bullied.  His sister and mom discovered him, called the squad, and rushed him to the hospital after having done CPR.  They actually got a heartbeat, a couple of times, but lost him in the ER.  So tragic, and senseless.

It will be hard to figure out. Every time I read or learn about a youth suicide I get numb inside. Not sure anyone but the Lord will ever fully understand what went on inside that boys mind. I have a small idea since I deal with suicidal thoughts. They can be powerful at times. I will keep praying.

My heart sank to read this. I cannot even imagine the pain. Prayers for them.

I am praying for you and the church family. May God comfort and help you all.

God bless you all for your prayers.  Please pray for God's strength and grace to be poured out on this family in the coming days.  The viewing will be Monday, and the Funeral Tuesday.  Pray that God is glorified in this tragedy, and that lost souls might be redeemed as a result.

Thanks again.

praying for the family, the church, and his friends...

I'm sorry, my friend.
