No. I’m not a preacher. Was your career spent in a bubble?
Tell me where I am wrong. He never intended to make a career as a budget cutter in Washington. He agreed to go to Washington and as a business man cut the fat. I don't think he realized how hard it would be. I'm not an Elon fan, he a terrible boss, he's a poor communicator, he has very little tact but in this case I thing he was dead right. Trumps big beutiful bill raises the deficit by 4 trillion dollars. who thinks that is good. It also spend money we don't have on things we don't need. When It was announced he would be assisting Trump I called the reaction many would have I also said every penny will be fought in the courts. I was right.Your naïveté is adorable.![]()
Tesla stock and Elon's net worth are recovering quickly. Perhaps the worst is over. Why do you believe this?
so you like each kid to use his tax money for schools that the government controls but not for the schools that profess to have God in control. That really suprises me. Federal momey goes to pay for all the mess that is the California public and charter schools but a kid using his portion to attend a business focused school or a art focused school or a christian focused school is wrong. That's amazing to me.I support charter schools and school choice. I don’t support the government paying for students to homeschool and attend private schools like they do in Florida. That’s called government overreach. Of course if you’re one of those Big Government guys, I guess you might like that kind of stuff.
they do now in most states with school of choice parents can send their kids to any government union run school that they control but not any of the others.OK, then don’t get upset when the government starts dictating healthcare mandates like it did during COVID. The government shouldn’t play Robin Hood with the money of taxpayers. Same principle applies. You seem to possess the philosophy of a liberal as long as the guy running the show doesn’t have a “D” after his name.
Thank the Lord!No. I’m not a preacher.
Let me explain it to you:OK, then don’t get upset when the government starts dictating healthcare mandates like it did during COVID. The government shouldn’t play Robin Hood with the money of taxpayers. Same principle applies. You seem to possess the philosophy of a liberal as long as the guy running the show doesn’t have a “D” after his name.
I’ll agree with you on that.Thank the Lord!![]()
See my post on the other thread and then maybe you’ll finally see my point.Let me explain it to you:
The government gives the state school system x amount of tax dollars for every pupil enrolled. My tax dollars go to help pay for that whether or not I have a child in the system.
With a voucher system, I decide which school gets that subsidy depending on where I enroll my child.
No gubmit mandate or gubmit control.
Duhhhh!
You have no point other than you want parents/taxpayers to continue to be forced to support the state school system whether or not they have children enrolled.See my post on the other thread and then maybe you’ll finally see my point.
I don’t want to pay for your grandchildren to attend a private school just because your children don’t make enough money to pay for it themselves. There. Do you get it?You have no point other than you want parents/taxpayers to continue to be forced to support the state school system whether or not they have children enrolled.
By the way, in this instance, you are a good progressive Democrat!
Hallelujah!
Yet you don’t mind paying the same price for them to to attend state school.I don’t want to pay for your grandchildren to attend a private school just because your children don’t make enough money to pay for it themselves. There. Do you get it?
Correct. My taxes pay for public schools and also many other items, like the Social Security check that you don’t mind cashing each month into your account. I draw the line with paying for your grandchildren to attend private schools that have no testing accountability.Yet you don’t mind paying the same price for them to to attend state school.
Do you get how dumb your logic is?
That would seem like a pretty small number of schools. Just because they are private doesn't mean that they aren't accredited.... to attend private schools that have no testing accountability.
Don’t take my word for it. You can read the FAQs from the Florida Department of Education. See question #2: https://www.fldoe.org/schools/schoo....stml#:~:text=No.,option and are not required. That would seem like a pretty small number of schools. So, public schools are better than private schools!?Don’t take my word for it. You can read the FAQs from the Florida Department of Education. See question #2: https://www.fldoe.org/schools/school-choice/k-12-scholarship-programs/ftc/faqs-for-private-schools-participating.stml#:~:text=No.,option and are not required.
Also, private schools don’t receive a school grade like public schools. So, when you send your kid to a private school, you’re relying on word of mouth pretty much because you won’t be able to see it’s a C-grade school or A-grade or whatever.
I never said that. Having a conversation with you is nonsensical. I’m thankful you were never my pastor. You guys are almost all the same. When you cannot come up with a meaningful retort, you hurl insults. Are you a Bob Jones or HAC guy? I’m sure I’m warm, either way!So, public schools are better than private schools!?
Bwaaaaaaaah!
Private schools are accredited, like colleges, by various agencies. That would seem like a pretty small number of schools. Just because they are private doesn't mean that they aren't accredited.
Yes, you did….”So, when you send your kid to a private school, you’re relying on word of mouth pretty much because you won’t be able to see it’s a C-grade school or A-grade or whatever.”I never said that. Having a conversation with you is nonsensical. I’m thankful you were never my pastor.
