A very good friend of mine's son, John Hodge, late 30's, went into cardiac arrest and his brain was without oxygen for 8 to 20 minutes.
He is currently in ICU in a vegetative state.
He did respond when my friend tried to clear out his nose by jerking his head back, but that's pretty much it.

I can say this, he drank a lot of energy drinks, and to counter their effects, a Med Express doctor prescribed sedatives, it was after that he experienced cardiac arrest.
