I understand that he has been hospitalized with a preliminary diagnosis of an abdominal mass.
Praying for you, your family, your doctors and your healing.

This is why the FFF is so valuable.  You just learn stuff.

I've never heard of a "mesentery", but now I know what it is.

Barry's wife posted this update on FB and it sounds as if our prayer efforts need to be ongoing:

We?ve talked with our surgeon and internist a couple of times now. We still don?t have much in the way of answers and probably won?t for awhile yet. What we do know is that there was a mass in the mesentery that was bigger than a softball. There were also several nodules found in the portion of the small intestine that was attached to the mass. The mass and about 8-12 inches of the intestine were removed. This was definitely the cause of the increasingly painful episodes Barry has experienced since January so we feel like we are moving forward. Right now, we choose to dwell on getting Barry through the post-op stage of this. The surgeon has said this could be so many things so we remain hopeful. No matter what happens, we are in good hands and serve a loving and faithful God.

Depending on the results, we will share them when we feel that we as a family are ready so please pray with us until then.

First, praise be to God for His healing hand
Second, thank you for being part of God?s providential work in bringing about my healing through your prayers!
Third, continue to pray that my pathology does not show malignancy

I go home with no special apparatuses... Only a large wound with 39 staples. Virtually pain free
