Remember 10 years ago when the transgender nonsense reached its tipping point? Back then, we were told that "female" was an objective biological category and "woman" was a gender expression. It was ridiculous then, too, but there was a certain amount of logic to it, too: you could be a "woman" even if you weren't female.
In the meantime, though, the activists have pushed more and more, arguing that even biological sex itself is a construct of Western colonialism. No male has ever had a baby, though the most ardent trans-rights activists insist they will. (They won't. You can't just transplant a uterus into a man and expect it to function. It's called the reproductive system for a reason.)
And many doctors, the people we expect to be the voice of reason when it comes to the health of the human body, just go right along with this idiocy. They would rather pretend to be fools and keep the approval of the right people, than state the obvious and risk their social capital.
"Professing to be wise, they became fools," indeed. We're seeing "The Emperor's New Clothes" play out just the way Hans Christian Andersen said it did.
