The second one that you place on there was Planned Parenthood. We can agree that abortion is wrong. What other services does Planned Parenthood provide that you do not agree with?
Let's say you had a day care owned and staffed by former child molesters.
Let's also say, in our scenario, the new national chain of day cares (EX-CON CARES) provides the following services;
1. Free daycare for all children under 5.
2. Free latch key care for those over 5.
3. Free Doctor provided annual medical exams for all clients.
4. Free breakfast and lunch every.
5. Free K4 education provided by a fully trained ex-con.
6. Free clothing and baby care supplies for those who show financial need.
7. Free use of an educational I-pad for all toddlers.
8. Free overnight care available on a limited basis.
9. Free monthly educational field trips and so forth.

Would not the fact your child was being exposed to child molesters negate any other benefit they may provide. Biblically speaking, how much worse is it to fund and support an organization that aggressively promotes and performs 350,000 baby murders each year and profits from the sale of the aborted babies tissue. I find it hard to believe you could have the Holy Spirit living inside you and defend such a group. Maybe his still small voice is harder for some to hear. Which of these 9 free services do you have a problem with?

Truthfully your Ex-Con Day Care makes no sense. Planned Parenthood has a particular service that we do not agree with (abortion) and basically provides other service. Ex-Con provides services that no one would see as morally acceptable.

You are I both spend money with businesses that support things that we may not agree. I don't support Planned Parenthood but I also am able to see clearly where conservatives make Planned Parenthood the bogeyman when in reality what they doing no matter how much we deplore it is legal. I also believe that numbers show that when birth control is provided that the number of abortions decrease. The answer to abortion is winning the hears of the women getting abortions. Defund Planned Parenthood for other services will not stop abortions. My biggest gripe is that conservatives and Evangelicals tend to imply that Planned Parenthood receives money for providing abortions. That is not true and honestly is a Christian virtue.

You have now chosen the really low road. When someone disagrees with you telling them that if they don't don't agree with you the Holy Spirit is not living in them.

I have no issue with you being a Christian. I have no issue with you being a Republican. I do have an issue with you telling me that to be a good Christian you must be a Republican.
I don't think you must vote Republican to be a good Christian. Sometimes it is very difficult to be a good Christian & vote Republican. It is even harder and maybe impossible in my view to support biblical christian values and vote for a modern Democrat. For many decades there were good Democratic candidates, who supported pro christian values and were pro life. I no longer see this type of candidates in the national ranks of the Democratic party.

If you believe that abortion is the taking of an innocent baby's life then how can you support an organization that aggressively promotes and performs them. If congress passed a law that a mother can "choose" to abort (kill) a baby up to the age of 1, would you still support organizations who perform such "procedures" if they also did a lot of good things?. I believe in God's eyes it is just as bad to kill a baby 5 mins before birth as it is 5 mins after birth.

I have always assumed that people who are pro choice "strongly believe" that an unborn baby is not a life and that is why they have the views they do regarding abortion. I can not fathom anyone choosing an abortion if they believed the unborn baby truly was alive. I happen to believe life begins at conception and only God should have the power to end a life.

I don't support Planned Parenthood. I clearly said in my last post on this subject that I don't support Planned Parenthood.  I so support the services that are provided that decrease the number of abortions. I also do not support the falsehood that the government pays Planned Parenthood for abortions. The exceptions to this are the life of the mother and rape.

To me Planned Parenthood is used to "rally the troops" but if Planned Parenthood went out of business today there would be other providers who would provide the service. The best analogy I can think of is trying to put the local bar out of business because your love one is an alcoholic and spends all his money there. Even if you were successful at putting the bar out of business the alcoholic will find somewhere else to drink.

I think the Republican Party has been successful at taking a couple of hot issues such as abortion and by declaring themselves pro-life they keep the Evangelicals voting Republican.  The legality of abortion doesn't change but Evangelicals keep voting for people like Donald Trump whose life is anything but Christian.

Planned Parenthood does get paid for every legal murder they commit. Here is a sample fee schedule. They also get paid again for all the tissue they sell.

Fees for Abortion Services
In-Clinic Abortion Services Up to 18 weeks: Dates are measured from the first day of the last menstrual period (LMP). To establish your date, see the Pregnancy Calculator.

Fee 4+-11.6 weeks from LMP:

With Local Anesthetic: $415
With Conscious Sedation: $455
Fee 12-13.6 weeks from LMP:

With Local Anesthetic: $525
With Conscious Sedation: $565
Fee 14-14.6 weeks from LMP:

With Local Anesthetic: $895
With Conscious Sedation: $935
Fee 15-16.6 weeks from LMP:

With Local Sedation: $945
With Conscious Sedation: $985
Fee 17-18 weeks from LMP:

With Local Anesthetic: $1070
With Conscious Sedation: $1110

No one claimed they do not get paid or charge for abortion. The federal government does not pay for abortion except in the case of the life of the mother or rape.  Medicaid and Title X where government funding for Planned Parenthood only pay for abortion is these two situations.

The fourth one on your list is excessive taxation. I don't like paying taxes anymore than anyone else. I had to write two hefty checks to both the IRS and the Commonwealth of Kentucky on April 15th. Not a fun activity. Reality sets in when you realize that total US tax revenue equaled 26% of gross domestic product, well below the 34% average for developed countries. Excessive taxation is a relative term.

I have no issue with you saying as a Republican you are for lower taxes.  I don't think that you can make taxation a Christian issue at least not do it with a Biblical basis.
I completely support using hard earned tax dollars to fund programs for the disabled and for seniors who can not work but I am opposed to many programs that take money from hard working Americans and give it to those who are too lazy to work. Abuse of disabled SS and Welfare programs, as well as medicare and medicaid is out of control.

Just in my community I know of several men who work 2 jobs and several others who work many hours of overtime to pay their child's college bill, while several others choose not to work work at all and their children attend for free.  Same would apply to Obama care and many other programs. I think 2 Thessalonians 3:10 should cover that one. In the grocery store near work I often see people driving very nice care and wearing expensive cloths paying their entire bill with a food assistance EBT card. I believe we are obligated to pay our tax bill whatever it may be, but I also believe as good stewards of what God gives us we should strive to use it in the best way possible.

The majority of people that get benefits of either cash, SNAP (food stamps) or Medicaid are working, disabled or seniors. Cash programs have work requirements and time limits. As with every program there are people who abuse programs and a minority who commit fraud. I worked for Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare for 28 years. I have testified in welfare fraud cases but I also know that there are people who would not make it without the safety net provided.

I worked for the Corbett Republican administration. The administration made welfare fraud their key objective. I believe they were disappointed on how little fraud there actually was after campaigning on it. While much of what they did in my opinion was a waste and a waste of money is finding fraud there were initiatives that did bring efficiency.

As a Christian it would appear the answer would be to work on the inefficiencies and while making sure the needy were served. Too many Republicans believe the answer is the elimination of the programs.

I'm glad you clarified that.  Even the disabled people I know (including my wife and best friend) believe that the definition of "disability" is stretched way too far, leading to abuse.  (The two people I cited are blind; my best friend has a part-time job and my wife would really like to go back to work if she could get hired somewhere.)
