Rabbi: Anti-Zionism is not Anti-Semitism

Oh, okay.

@Ransom , sincere apologies for calling your falsified assertion your "pet doctrine." I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I thought you'd understand I didn't really think you had a "pet" assertion, and that we were just trading barbs. I did make the mistake of thinking you really believed it...your assertion that is. I thought it was the reference you were making each time you said something like "them dirty Jooos" when something less than fauning was said about the actions of the Zionist state of Israel or their lobby. (It is kinda funny, though, that Shapiro regards Gvir a dirty Joo, dont you think? That he thinks Gvir dirties the beautiful nation of the United States with his mere presence?)

I didn't realize you seriously thought I regarded the anti-Zionist Jews as my pets. I guess that's on me. I thought you were just dismissing them as you dismiss any hint that the Zionists might not be the innocent victims everyone says they are. (Now, I hope that by "everyone" you understand that I don't literally mean everyone ... I mean "the majority." I'm going to try to be more clinical in my wording, and keep a better watch out for trigger words, too.)

Anyway, you have a wonderful support group here, and I thank them for helping me to see that my barb dug too deeply. @ALAYMAN , a mental health professional you are! You're too modest with your handle.
Is everything tickety-boo with you?

That which my "pet jews" falsified. LOL. Haven't you been payin' attention?
I’ve skimmed through but was still confused. Are you saying that he’s so pro-Israel that he turns a blind eye to anything Israel does? Or are you saying he’s compromised by his interpretation of the Bible and that it’s the duty of Christians to support Israel no matter what? I’m still scratching my head here.

It’s becoming more and more clear to me that the Israeli government influences our politicians.

To many politicians…..it’s Israel first not America first.

Israeli government needs to be eliminated from ours. They’ve never done us any favors or benefited America.

The clown is just too much of a coward to straightforwardly say I'm a Zionist, because he knows he would be lying. So he's pretending he's a 13-year-old girl with a Big Secret.

Do you believe the Bible teaches that we need to support Israel?

As a Christian, I do believe we should support Israel. As an American, I think we should support Israel for geopolitical reasons. However, in neither case do I feel that Israel should not be held accountable or be given a free pass to do anything it wants. That would just be stupid.

Because you are a Christian you believe you should support the government of Israel? Or am I misunderstanding you?

To be clear…I’m asking about supporting the government of Israel.

I’m referring to the Jewish community, and of course the largest community happens to be in the country of Israel. But politically, I believe it is vastly important because of its location in the globe—religion aside. Other important allies include UAE, Kuwait, etc., which of course are not Jewish populations.

What if he did? Should Christians be villified for having a particular eschatological view of Israel? That's what's being done by Ekklesian here, and at the center of the spat your entering. But even worse, Ekklesian is falsely accusing Ransom of being a Zionist without any burden of proof. He's effectively bearing false witness, with zero regrets when called upon his dishonesty.

If by "Israel," you mean the modern State of Israel, no.
I think they are conflating the Jewish people and the state of Israel. I can support the Jewish people without endorsing every action taken by the Israeli government. I don’t even support every action by the American government, even when I voted for them, but I still support the American citizens.

That piece of real estate can only contain a third of the total population of Jews.

Okay, let's try this again.

"Anti-Zionism" reveals itself to actually be "anti-Jew" fairly quickly.

Anti-Zionism is a mask for anti-semitism.

That is the assertion that has been falsified. Everyone got their panties in a wad over the word 'doctrine.'

I only used the word 'pet' because he did, and that set off a ruckus in the hen house.

Again, identify Israel.

What I said was that he equated anti-Zionism with anti-semitism. And I posted his own words.

Um, I posted his own words.
