There is an event in Independence every year in October at the George Owens Nature Park.
His grave marker at the park
It's called The Enchanted Forest, an annual family-friendly, non-scary Halloween event. Little 2 minute comic sketches involving fairytale and other legendary characters line the path.
I was active from 2011 to 2020.
My first year I was Papa Bear.
I was Blackbeard the next year
But mostly I was Batman...
Or the documentary photographer for a given year.

In keeping with the theme of this thread, "random" pictures: snapped a quick silhouette of the nativity figurine on my shelves before leaving for work.
I also see a duck, and for some strange reason, a carabiner is hanging below the nativity scene.
The carabiner just appears to be below the nativity scene. I have random hooks and items hanging from the wire shelves.
